how is it?
I’m not sure what you mean with that question. But I’ll try to be informative. You play as a descendent Of Leonidas the first and you wield his broken spear, instead of a hidden blade. This is set a few hundred years before the previous game during the Penelopese war between Sparta and Athens. So there’s no brotherhood or Creed yet. You can choose to play a a female or male character, but it’s not like in other rpg’s where you can fully customise them. You’re a Spartan outcast starting as a mercenary to become a legendary hero. It looks very interesting where they added new gameplay, dialogue options, more interaction with npc’s, your choices affect the world, fighting alongside an army in battles. Other things are brought back from Origins, skill tree, combat system, transport, exploration etc.
sounds really interesting! not sure how you can play as a female though, if you're a Spartan.
Well according to history female Spartans were pretty equal to men. But they were good fighters, could own their own property and such.
I think this is the first AC I'm excited for in a long time
I was excited for Origins which had a very interesting mythology and really likeable characters. Bayek was good with kids, a very good friend, but not the type of guy to have as an enemy. Also the Curse of the Pharaohs is one of the best DLC’s I’ve played in a game. No kidding. My favourite I think is Lair of the Shadowbroker from Mass Effect 2. But Curse of the Pharaohs was really special.
Samurai Champloo is mine for sure (directed by the producerfor Cowboy Bebop) . It's got amazing fight choreography, and interesting characters that really play off of eachother in a good way. Plus, it's got the best intro song to possibly any TV show IMO:
I also enjoyed Dennou Coil! I think it's a highly underrated anime.
Serial Experiments Lain, Big O, Fist of the North Star, Samurai Champloo, Haibane Renmei, Kiki's Delivery Service, Totoro, Spirited Away, Baccano, Trigun, Boogiepop Phantom.
Uhh probably more but those come to mind the easiest. SEL is by a longshot my favorite of those even.
And more recent stuff:
Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous, Devilman Crybaby
I’ve got another anime to look forward to and that’s Zelda. Hope it’s better than the previous one which was just trash. So fingers crossed.
Hmmm, most of the anime I have seen is scifi and not fantasy based, so in the context of a Fantasy forum I really don't have an answer. The closest I can come is a video game and that would be the Soul Calibur series. I still think the Alexandra sisters are a bit too Scandinavian looking to be Greek, but, yeah, I still like the franchise and it is mostly fantasy based. (Cosplayers for Sophitia and Cassandra
