I've read them all, and I love them. But I must say New Spring. I've always loved Moiraine's and Lan's characters, and being allowed to read about their past, and how they ended up Aes Sedai and Warder, has been a true privelige!

Eye of the World (or any of the other first 5!)

Must admit to growing frustration with Jordan who's milking this series as much as possible. Last few books have been mediocre at best, adding little and the conclusion seems as far away as ever :( It's a shame because overall WofT is a great read.

I think The Great Hunt was actually my favorite.

Also, I'm with the others of you, who feel that this series has been milked to death. Personally, I think it would have been much better as a 6 book series. It's just so boring now. Good guy vs Bad Guy and some filler story here and there, and oh yeah, Good Guy wins.

    *yawn*

Talk about following the traditional formula. That's why I love stories that break the grain, and follow a different path. This has been drawn out so long now that it's no longer even interesting. I'm sticking with it because I just want to finish the stupid thing and be done with it, but yeah - my love affair with the Wheel of Time is over.

Again, another old thread revived. Still, I'd have to say I liked The Eye of the World the best, closely followed by The Shadow Rising.

The Shadow Rising for me, closing followed by The Fires of Heaven.

Eye of the World. Amazing book that really got me into the series. A shame the last few books haven't been as great.

Knife of Dreams was pretty good, I thought.

Yes, I enoyed Knife of Dreams, too. Admittedly, I struggled with some of the later books, so it was good to see the story pick up again.

    I can't answer.

WoT is really one novel spread out among twelve volumes, and I can't pick one 300,000 word segment above all the others.

I haven't read the series in a couple years now, so I can't even remember what was my favorite. I can you what was my least favorite though: Crossroads of Twilight. I Couldn't get past 100 pages. Absolutely awful. Hard to believe the same author who wrote the first novel could've been the same one to write CoT. That's why it's hard for me to recommend this series to any friends. The Books up to about 6 are very good, some great, but after 6 there is a steady decline until CoT is just terrible.

I like Lord of Chaos because Perrin plays a big role. Perrin is my favorite character in the series.
