The difference is that you don't know where the line is. I make one comment, while you come out with a dozen more, Met. And I didn't bash on any of these games directly, I only spoke of MK being better, while you do bash on it directly.

Yea. It's the gaming zone (I don't mean the forum section, but the fact the thread relates to gaming). Bashing is what we gamers do. A lot. Deal with it.

Well, tbh, that's actually why I do it. If I had something better to do I wouldn't really be on TFF other than to discuss fantasy (nothing going on right now really) now would I? :S

Actually I have several, but I can't utilise them at the moment. Can't go to gym cos it's late, can't paint my models because I've run out of paint, but I will be going to play some WoW soon (will be wasting whatever integrity I managed to retain on that!).

I don't know what the heck was going on in your countries, but in my country during the mid 90's Mortal Kombat was ruling!Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat were the most famous beat 'em up games but most most kids prefered Mortal Kombat because it was more violent or "cool".Plus they had all these moves like "Finish him!" Fatality,Animality,Brutality,Friendship! and dozens of characters! And you had that weird guy appear on the screen and say "TOASTYYYYY!" every time you did an uppercut!Lol!:p

And the Mortal Kombat movie was good. The Street Fighter one sucked!

Hmmm the movies, I'm a little sceptical about them. The first mortal kombat movie could have been worse, I enjoyed, but there were a few stupid details in it (as the signed Johnny Cage pic) but imo it was still better than streetfighter, but that's maybe a biased opinion because I prefer the games better. But I know for a fact that the streetfighter movie was a flop. Mortal Kombat didn't do that great either, and the second movie certainly flopped.

Lol both the Live Actions sucked. I'm just a sucker for B-movies so I enjoyed them. Yet in this case MK was the lesser of two evils.

The SF animation movie was awesome though. Just pure pwnage lol.

Hey I like SF Foi, just not MK. Sure MK is sort of fun, but when every character has the same character base template and as IR already said, they just really have different super's but are basically the same. Again, the SF character cast had a much more diverese fighting/playing style to choose from, rather than the pretty generic styles of MK.

Anakin did you just say the SF game was a flop? Sorry but I think my mind just went blank as to where that statement came from.

Edit: Going offline now, so will only counter whatever tomorrow lol

No, it didn't go blank, overall the film made little profit, it didn't get what the producers expected.

i think that any Video Game Based game SHOULD be a flop.

imo, its a lame idea, that should get a lame outcome.

Yea but you said the "GAME" was a flop. Are you sure you mean't the game? I'm pretty sure you mean the movie.

I voted for Street Fighter cause I played that ALOT when I was a kid, but I also enjoyed Mortal Kombat so I selected 'other' for that.... Should have been one of the first on the list I would have thought lol

Yea it probably should have been there. It's one of the more recognisable titles of the gaming beat 'em up world.

Ok, I think some of you guys got this wrongly. I'm placing this poll in terms of the games' storylines, not on gameplay or popularity. If you guys voted for one or more choice just because the games' your fave in gameplay, then I won't mind since I'm not too confident on how many fighting game fans actually KNEW the storyline of the games they like. But tbh, I'll be more than happy if the canon issue is discussed more. And yeah, Met any canon issues for any fighting games you want to raise up with me? I really feel like discussing this matter with you provided the games you've raised up are the ones I'm familiar with in terms of canon.

P.S: On an out of topic note, just how many of you guys think Guilty Gear has one of the best, if not the best, character designs in the fighting gaming world?

Add P.S to Met: Just curious here to ask you which version of Sol do you prefer in terms of both style and canon. Order version or normal version?
