Here are some of my fav ones i have:
At least Epona doesn't look like "My Little Pony"
Hey!! My Little Pony is cool.
Nice pics. Looks better than the Windwaker.
yeah...a cool..."my little pony" riiiiiight it is going to be an awesome game when it comes out
The pics looks amazing! Some are indeed from the trailer so Ive already seen them-- Does anyone have an idea what the main story of this game is about?
I haven't heard anything story wise, other than it's supposed to be the first SEQUEL since Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link.
The moblins are cool, just like the ones from ww which I liked. I can see those lizardy things are back! Cant remember what they are called, the ones that run really fast sideways. Plus I cant wait to play as adult link again!!
I thought Link's Awakening was a sequel to A Link to the Past.
no no no, theres a lot of timeline theories out there, Link to the past comes after OoT and before WW, Links awakening comes after the oracle games and the adventures of link comes pretty late on i think, i dunno, im not quite sure, go check it out at zeldauniverse.net
I heard that they actually work chronologically backwards. In other words the first zelda released on nintendo was the last in the series, other than windwaker. I have a book somewhere that explains it but i don't know where it is.
Wow, thatd be weird. How do you think they can do that? If the first game brought out is intended to be the last, how do they work the rest of the games around it? It may be simple to some, but I personally dont understand. Im not knocking you, Curunir.
Well it's really not that hard actually. The first game you beat gannon. Gannon is dead forever (untill windwaker). Then they just make prequels to it.
Hmm. Wasnt that hard after all. Thanks Curunir.
Well if I could find my book I could give the "detailed" description of it but I don't know where the book is.
Okay that only really can be proven for A link to the past > Ocarina of time, consecutive games but in truth ocarina is the prequel, as in the prologue to ALttP, it tells the stories of how the seven sages sealewd away ganon after the war of power, which matches the plot of OoT nicely. However, certain timelines strewm together this way do not work, WW sees gannon sealed away in stone, yet in the previous game he appears in (cutting out Majoras mask and leaving OoT) he starts out as his original self, born of the desert and a normal man. In fact, the character of ganondorf in WW inevitably suggests he is the same ganon in OoT but AFTER the events of OoT, and the prologue for WW is obviously the events of OoT
For the longest time, I have been under the impression that the story was simply re-invented over and over. Some details always remained, such as Link being the hero, Ganon(dorf) the villian, and Zelda the princess. Weapons and items had a root of essential things being in each game (bombs, etc.). But the plot was always changed to make the story fresh and new. There were obvious sequels, of course. But those sequels were totally different, leaving us with only Link as the hero, and a brand new quest.
This is actually the first time I have heard an idea of all games being linked chonologically.
I have not played Wind Waker, but I saw the intro where it speaks of a whole story taking place before WW that would have to be another game entirely. But which one?
Are the games supposed to all be linked chronologically?
I think they are, the series as a whole is the legend of zelda, a tale of heroism repeating itself over time, that tale takes different forms but its always the hero versus evil.
The prologue for WW explains the events of OoT and a little bridging between that and the game, ill go and get the timeline theory and copy it here for you to see.
