Yes I do. Not sure of its origin, or exact species, but I think it is a member of the primate family, probably somewhere inbetween a human and a gorilla. However I do not believe it to be an evolutionary product, such as the missing link...

What countries has it been sited in? I thought it was only photographed in the U.S.A?

I heard one story of a guy that one walked right up to and the guy handed it his candy bar, it took it, ate it and walked away....

This isn't exactly the same topic, but it is the same subject, what about the Loch ness Monster, of the apatosaur that has supposedly been found by natives in the jungles of not sure where...called Mokimelimbe

yeah I believe in Bigfoot! I also think that he might be a missing link.. that is if there is such a thing :) I too believe in the Loch Ness Monster !! It was originally found in Ireland or Scotland, I think it was Scottland though.

I don't believe there is an over-sized race of hairy men roaming the earth. The evidence supporting "Yeti" is too small. For a stable population we are looking at at least 1000 specimen each. Because they are fairly big, they need a large terrirory. That would meant that the creature is fairly wide-spread. Problem is that as far as I know no specimen has been captured dead or alive. I think that it doesn't make sense that we haven't been able to catch one or find either corpse or bones. There must be a huge amount of bones of these creatures. For an estimated life span of 60 years (that's high, I think) there must be at least 200.000 bones to be discovered in each and every habitat where the creature may be found.

Furthermore, there is no evidence in evolution that might suggest a 7 foot+ humanoid/ape. All (documented) humanoids previous to us were smaller than we are. Sure, there must be some branch in evolution leading to the Yeti. For now, I have to conclude that the Yeti and it's counterparts are either hoax or urban legend.

Awwww. You look so cute in that pic, EBM. :p

Every region has its own local stories about wildmen living in the woods. Here's the local one from where I live.
    http://www.weirdnj.com/_unexplained/jerseydevil.html
I've been to the New Jersey Pine Barrens at night with no more than a flashlight. Never saw a single odd thing.

Personally, I believe most of this is nothing more than folklore. Surely if large amounts of primates were living in the woods there would be more than a few chance encounters. I agree with Turambar. Large creatures leave evidence behind, such as bones. While it makes an interesting story, there is no real truth behind the rumors of Yetis.

I dont believe in bigfoot, sorry to dissapoint. I completly agree that there needs to be evidence. Also every picture ive seen looks fake to me. I think creatures such as bigfoot are just creatures from stories made to entertain.

I think that big foot is actually a very hairy man that wished to get away from society a very long time ago, but of course newspapers, etc. wouldn't leave him alone and he tries to run away from people because he is a social outcast.....or it's all fake.
