Well done... and deservedly so. Let's just hope the stench of success brings a fairly swift ADWD release.

Poor Aaranon... this is where "beer" comes in. :D

Hopefully, ADWD will be out around the same time in 2006.

I ended up with 3 copies all of which I bought on the day it was released. One I bought at Barnes and Noble to read immediately(shared cost with a friend on that one) and two copies I bought from Mysterious Galaxy to reserve my spots for the book signing with GRRM. So, now I am left with my signed copy and a extra to do as a will too. The third copy I got signed for the friends that got me interested in ASoIaF! :D

I'm proud to say I've gotten atleast 6 people to start reading and buy the ASoIaF. I feel like a missionary of Martin world! *waddles off to find more to convert*

I'm trying to get my brother into him which reminds me, Christmas is coming I'll get him some GRRM books! Unfortunately, most of everyone I know likes the more true to life stuff yuk! *coughs up a hairball* Not me though I truly like living in my own fantasy world...lol! ;)

Well i've gotten at least 3 of my friends plus my wife and now her lil brother all into it. but if u know ppl who like the more true to life stuff I highly highly recommend Jack Whytes Dream of Eagles series. Post Roman Britain, King Arthur Merlin etc. very, very good.

^^When I mean real life stuff I mean like in James Pederson(sp) modern day stuff like that. It's ok but like I said I like my fantasy worlds better...lol! But the Jack Whyte series sounds interesting. Another more modern day fantasy type that I do like is Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and American Gods. He also has a book called Stardust that is more along the lines of ASoIaF. But what can I say GRRM just rocks! I'm so happy his book hit the mark. I can't wait for ADWD! :monkeydan

I'm already impatient for ADWD. It could be published tomorrow and it wouldn't be soon enough.

Ooh, another Neil Gaiman fan! American Gods was a great book; I wish my library was faster.... I'm waiting for Anansi Boys.

I still haven't read it either. I'll have to wait until Christmas to get me copy from my brother. Have you ever read Stardust? That's my favorite Neil Gaiman book.
