I used to be a hardcore vamp girl. Wouldn't read anything else. Kind of got out of it though. I liked these books. I think it was the whole romantic aspect of it all. I only picked up the first book because it was so popular and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I thought it would pretty much suck

I did not see the movie, so can't really comment on it.

I've heard a lot of mixed stuff, though, just as you have, Padme.

*nods* yep, I was even in a student film as a vampire *cringe* Oh don't get me started, was awful lol But we got to use fake blood, get vampire teeth special made for us etc, so when I was 15, that was cool! lol

It started with Twilight and it got way out of hand... and you both got in a vicious circle with that bickering. And I'm not pointing fingers to you or her. Well just let it go now, it's been long enough, don't you agree?

    /sigh I can't speak for Met, but:

    1) This is a fight? I hadn't noticed.
    2) The posters involved did make relevant comments about the thread OP. Apparently she didn't like the posts because she started ranting about how they're "real men" and something like "don't be jealous." Of fictional characters, okay.

Also, about the movie, I couldn't even stand watching it. :S My friend was fairly drunk and we were watching it online on my laptop, and about 50 minutes in I couldn't figure out what had happened, so we stopped watching it and went to sleep, lol. Even the book was more entertaining.

I'll never agree with you, even if it makes sense. You should know this dance by now Anakin.

lol I don't think i went that far with it. My family did think i was a little twisted for awhile. I let my friend base a vampire character in her story on me she even made a picture and that was just a few months ago haha. The twilight vampires are a little different tho nothing like the ones from Rice or any of those other vampire authors

Yes. Yes this is a fight. An 'argument' might be a more appropriate term, but I think 'fight' can also be used to describe what just happened.

That's why I said 'both sides are at fault.'

*rolls eyes* Tell it to Oprah lol

I'm not really 'into' vampires any more. Was just a phase when I was 15-16 really. I think most girls I knew were the same, mainly cause of Buffy no doubt, though ironically I did not watch it that much. Could never really get into all that. But mainly cause of the hype of the Twilight movies and also the fact they are making it a trilogy, I have been wondering if it is worth having a glance at.

I never argue. I just tell. Goddamn how many times must I repeat myself!

I would tell it to Oprah but unfortunately all shows have been booked up within a reasonable date.

isn't every book worth at least a chance? like i said all the hype was the only reason i picked it up. I didn't even know they were making a movie until 2 months before it came out lol I have a few Rice books still. I'm more into Dragons and what not now. the "immature" books i guess some would call it

I will watch the movie I think... Download it, but I can't say that my expectations are very high. But after what I've heard of the film I guess that isn't abnormal. I mean many said before that a movie is never as good as the book it was adapted from. Even LOTR which is considered priceless as movies are still not considered better than the books by any fan I think.
