RON PAUL FTW!!!
About time the U.S came back into the fold, so Queen Elizabeth I say! Join the Commonwealth! Then you can go to both the Olympics and the Commonwealth games!
Oprah Winfrey, but only if Dr. Phil isn't VP.
After this weeks news, anyone who votes for mcaine needs to be punched in the head.
Obama is raising the bar by bringing the election issues to the rest of the world, and mccaine has resorted to dragging the debate down into the dirt with slander ads? COME ON!
I'd put Putin in the U.S. office.Americans vote for Putin in the next elections!
(If I say that a few more times they'll actually start looking if Putin is a candidate)
Now if I could put any living soul in the White House it would be DMX. joking of course. I would like to see the exPOW John McCain in there. I always see being in action a positive. It shows you aren't afraid to face the world but it also shows that you have sense enough to know what war does.
"War doesn't make boys into men, instead it makes men dead."
McCain probably knows this and I believe that him saying he is willing to stay in Iraq for 100 years was him caught up in the moment. He has years of the government under his belt.
I second Stephen Colbert.
And, I don't mind Obama. I'd rather take someone inexperienced who wants to make a difference, over someone like Hillary who has all the connection to the lobbyists and such from her husband's career, and her senatorial one. We don't need another corrupt president sucking up to the big companies and giving them breaks, and leaving morals ground into the dust. But that's just my opinion.
Yet... in this particular situation, with two wars going on...
I am affraid that McCain would fail to make that step back and look at the entire picture, other then just "a war that must be won". McCain comes from a military dynasty (his father was admiral in the Vietnam war) - and I think that the military has had too much influence on the Bush administration to have another Marshall in the White House. I'd rather see a civilian with a military staff, it should bring back a bit more balance to the oval office.
Do people really want to vote for someone who came SECOND to Dubya in the 2001(or was it 2000?) elections?
Hmmm, I didn't think being shot down five times was a good qualification....
He came in second because of dirty campaigning by the Bush org. and because many hardline conservatives saw him as too liberal.
And now mccaine is the one doing the dirty campaigning against obama, though all hes got to mock is the type of lettuce he eats and the fact that more people like obama.
The Obama campaign isn't exactly playing fair either. It's politics. Everyone's going to say some dirty things. It's how the game works. I was just pointing out that McCaine didn't lose because Bush was a better person/president than him. Just that Bush was more eager to use underhandedness to win. When you said he lost to Bush, it seemed you were implying that he's even more of a dick than our current President. I was just saying that that isn't the case.
Mccaine the one who started the dirty tricks though, and although obama isnt a saint (despite popular opinion) at least he didnt start it.
Seriously though, I heard McCaine doesnt know how to use a computer, is it me or does that shout 'out of touch'
Haha. He knows how to use a computer. He said once that he thinks kids today are amazing with computers, meaning making their own sites, Firefox, etc., and that he could never do that. But he knows how to e-mail, and surf the net, and do pretty much anything a President would need to do. I mean, he's been in congress a long time. He has to know how to use a computer. Saying he can't is a bit over the top.
Well you'd think that but after the ted stevens 'internet tubes' speech its best not to make assumptions. Still it was only from a second hand source.
Mccaine has just annoyed me resorting to dirty campaigning and criticising obamas world tour for making him a celebrety
Alot of the dirty campaigning for BOTH sides has come from third party sources that aren't really even associated with the true campaign organizations. Also, it's understandable that some people would get offended by Obamas world tour. It seems like he's asking the other world powers to elect him instead of the American people.
Well it shows he understands that the whole world has a stake in the US elections not just america, ANd the fact that they don't have a vote it shows the speeches werent just rhetoric pandering to voters.
and since mccaine has himself met with most of the leaders, and had criticised obama beforehand for not doing so its a bit rich when he complains afterwards when obama does go on his tour.
Separate names with a comma.
