Leonardo is way too old now too.. 10 years ago maybe... but in his recent (last few years) movies he no longer looks like the boy he did through his earlier career. It even looks like he's getting grey hair.
Well I suppose the Targaryens have silver/blond hair, so Leonardo would save them on hairdye!
Plus I would pay to see him "recieve" his golden crown! Ha Ha!
Leo's hair isn't all that blonde.......anyway, regardless of his age, I don't think he was ever sociopathic enough.
oh come on, didnt you see him as the pissed off king in the man in the iron mask? or when he goes nuts in the beach?
I think Leonardo was perfect for Viserys at least 10 years ago...
But now he is too older, and his face has changed.
Do you think that they will probably pick actors older than the characters they will be acting?
For Bran, Arya, Jon, Robb, Dany...?
That's quite common. No actor can have exactly the same age as the character he is impersonating. Remember the 3rd Indiana Jones movie, where Sean Connery (1930) played the father of Harrison Ford (1942).
If only it looks plausible. People tend to believe what they see.
I did, but it wasn't subtle.....he can act cruel and insane, but he doesn't exude cruelty, if you know what I mean. I don't really like him as an actor, and that may be colouring my opinion, but I really can't see him in the role.
Me neither. I never liked him as an actor ever since Titanic.
There are thousands of young actors, one of them should make a proper Viserys. Remember Viserys is not just cruel, he's also one of the more tragic characters in the series.
I dont like him either but he looks right and seeing him ''crowned' would be nice, though I agree he may be a bit too old now he did seem like a very good candidate.
Cersei - Scarlett Johanssen
Jaime - Heath Ledger
Tywin Lannister - Michael Douglas
I'll think of some more later.
cersei is meant to be what? 30+ plus scarlett doesnt reek of bitch like cersei is meant to.
also heath ledger is CLEARLY rhaegar.
........I'm still trying to picture michael douglas bald
I think Scarlett could. Cersei is also incredibly beautiful. I've seen Scarlett become awfully haughty in roles ... it's just how I picture Cersei, anyway.
As for Heath *shrug*. I'm just sharing how I picture the characters, that's all.
I could see Scarlett as Cersei, actually, she definitely has the kind of haughty air about her you'd expect from a noble. Not sure about Heath Ledger as either Rhaegar or Jaime though.
I imagine Jaime a lot like Prince Charming from Shrek... Don't ask my why please. Should be obvious
I personally think Judy Dench would make a perfect lady Olenna.
James Franco looks a lot like the Loras I imagined.
Cersei is still Nicole Kidman to me. She has a sort of mean/cold look in her eyes that fits Cersei very well.
Every time i watch a episode of Battlestar Galactica, I just see Tricia Helfer exactly as I picture Cersei. She is Cersei to me.
All the other roles are still open at my mental casting call. Haven´t seen someone who completely nailed any of the parts in my mind. Some are pretty good. but no other definites on my team.
Ah, yup, suggested her for the same reason earlier
sexy, cold, bitchy, pouty and all the other cersei things.
Tell me, what do you think of baltar/james callis as littlefinger; smart, smug and short.
How about Matt lucas from "Little Britain" as Lord Varys?
I've seen that one suggested before... I don't think he's quite mysterious enough for Varys though.
I agree, Lyanna.
I imagine Varys more like Boy George (not the way he used to look, but the way he looks now: fat and bald.
Or that Egyptian man in the Rome series, the fat one that used to be so cringing to little prince Ptolemae, I don't know the name of that man, can't find it even on IMDB.
Separate names with a comma.
