What ever happened to all the guys/gals in this thread??
well, they WERE around, then the forum kinda... well... yeah....
(Banging head against wall.)
Rofl, just the kind of reaction i was hoping for.
I voted other. Because i have no idea who half of them are
Everyones ditched us
Woah! Gollum? Seriously!? I didn't think he'd even be a distant third!
Who wouldn't love Gollum. He is the one who tricked Frodo and Samwise for many days, and then cheated on them.
He is indeed one of the biggest threats to Frodo.
@DK-Y2Y: Indeed, can't argue at the villainy. And he's really the only villain you ever remotely sympathize with (though I tend to sympathize more with movie-Gollum than I do with book-Gollum).
@Reece: Came back when I saw your post.
Glad you joined the army, and did you leave home as well?
Voted for Saruman(below or above depending on your post order)
Hard choice. I picked Gollum because he's so driven for himself only, not for some personal belief like Saruman or Grima. The Witch King was a close second, though.
NO links in the sig Inkworknow!
Melkor. Not a contest. He's the source of all evil.
Frodo is the evilest by far.He found a ring and not only decided to keep it and NOT return it to its rightful owner who literally burst into nothingness from the sorrow of losing it, but also, the little vandal, went all the way to the poor victim's home and threw it in his volcano, FOR NO APPARENT REASON other than the need to be mean. Down with lilliputian kid-like semi-beings with hairy feet! They'll steal from you and trash your home at the same time!
....oh sorry i thought we were doing the "Mordor point of view"
From the Fellowship's point of view, i still support my earliest opinion. It's Darth Vader, hands down.
I'm inclined to agree.
Also agree, it all started from Melkor, true evil is always the source of everything else that is evil. Probably, if there was no Melkor, there would not have been any balrogs or sauron or gollum to begin with.
Melkor and The Witch King are evil. But in my opinion I think its Melkor because he created the werewolf the balrog and the orc, he was the one who created most of Mordors army that Sauron used.
He even created Sauron, in a way.
Witch King of Angmar. It's the fear that he strikes not only in Frodo and Sam but Smeagol as well. Though his power is not as far reaching as Sauron he is evil enough he has the ability to make his enemies tremor at the sight of him and that is always an advantage to have,
Definitely,my favourite one is Vala Melkor. I have a changed attitude towards him after reading "The Black Book of Arda", a Russian novel by Nienna and Illeth (N. Vassilyeva and N. Nekrasova). Authors try to prove that Melkor is not an Enemy, but a wise and kind Teacher. "Melkor" - " one, who loved the Earth" in Elvish. And Iluvatar and the Valar are depicted as merciless tyrants.
The book is no worse than Silmarillion, really.
