I was just talking to some friends and the discussion rolled around to politics. We all compared who we voted for in the last election, and I was kind of surprised by some responses. So, I decided to make a poll. Who did you vote for in the 2008 presidential election? Obama, McCain, other, or didn't vote?

No McCain or independent voters? Hmm, interesting. I didn't say so in the opening post, but I voted for Obama. I'm a liberal who hated Bush, whaddaya expect?

I knew I would lose, but, I still voted for McCain. At that time I was bearly hanging onto being a hardcore Republican. Lately, it has hit me that they are weak and should have had a backbone even before all of the bad publicity began. ThEy have no great role models, as to say, and I have found myself leaning more toward a neutral ground until someone who is a REAL republican can get in there and turn the party around.

    Teehee -

For some reason it strikes me that the initial poster naturally assumes his readers and replicants as being American.

I know the US is mindbogglingly big - but it's population makes no 5% of the total world population. And I'm not entirely sure half of the forum is American.

Please do take note of us

    sincerely,

    The Rest of the World.

lol - there would be no point in making a similar thread about the latest of struggles between Jan Peter Balkenende and Wouter Bos, that's for sure ;)

You might give it a try, though, when charlie brown or whatever his name is is up for election. But I mean, even when Wen Jiabao is due to be re-elected anyone would include an option of not being Chinese. For some reason, that simply doesn't occur to Americans...

Actually, that's why I put the "other" option in. And since pretty much the whole world watches US elections, especially this last one, I figured it would be well known enough that it wouldn't be a big deal. :p
