    I personally like Zedd and Nicci from Sword of Truth, and Samwise from LOTR.

    Fingolfin from Silmarillion, because, first of all, he's one of the Noldor elves, and he challenged Melkor at the end...:)

    The one and only "jimmy the hand" From the Feist books.

    For no other reason than when reading about him I always smile.

    Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files, if from any book.

    Tom Bombadil, if from Tolkein.

    I love Tasslehoff ^.^ and the dragonlance books, but I like characters with a lot of depth.
    I adore Nighteyes, too :D There are so many characters I could pick out. I like Sven Tveskoeg for his unnatural ability to just be awesome, or Polgara for her power.
    But my favourite has to be the Fool.

    By reading these, I see more and more characters that have just passed from my mind. If I had to say now, I wouldn't know who to answer; Silk, Akkarin, Tom Bombadil, Samwise Gamgee, Jimmy the Hand, Drizzt Do'Urden, ... Ellana Caldin ...

    I still like Tom Bombadil, but I'm starting to enjoy reading about Artos/Rudi Mackenzie from the Emberverse series, among other characters.

    I'll have to agree with Prince Kheldar, I think Silk is one of the most interesting characters, though for me, Talen, from Eddings' Elenium and Tamuli series comes in as a close second. He's also a thief, though a younger character. I Also like Sparhawk from the Elenium and Tamuli series. But I find it very difficult to choose an ultimate favourite character.

    @Druid: Yeah, I believe the Elenium and Tamuli are really good. I think Eddings' use of sardonic understatement was never better than in those books.
    I read them before I read the Belgariad and Mallorean, and the Elenium remains my favorite.

    Where have u been looking for the books?

    I also like Talen, and Sparhawk. But because I like the other two series better than these, I'll have to go with Silk as an ultimate.

    And, I believe the Tamuli and Elenium books should be available at amazon.com.

    QFT ^

    Yes. It was so tragic, I read those pages multiple times over, and cried every time. Even now, thinking about it pulls at the heartstrings. RIP <3 T___T;

    @Aria: In bookshops (Waterstones when I'm in England) and libraries. The school one has the 5 Belgariad, 5 Mallorean, Belgarath the sorcerer, Polgara the Sorceress, The Rivan Codex, and one about a magician. Int the french part though, they have what is translated as "The war of the Jewels">
