Whos your favourite caracter from a fantasybook ?
My fav. caracter must be Atreyu from The Neverending Story. The picture of himof his white horse Artax, or on the back? of the white luckdragon Fuchur/Falkor. I just love his carecter.

But I also really like Harry Potter, cuz he seems like a real person, and not false at all. Some people in books just do everything right, and never does anything mean.

Whats your fav. caracter ? :p

hm.. generic, perhaps, but i'll say Drizzt.

Not only is he an amazing fighter, but its pretty awesome that he went against millenia of tradition to become his own man on the surface. He didn't kill innocents just because that's what his ancestors did.

This thread should be in general books rather than Tolkien but fav. is probably Fitz from Hobb's Farseer & Tawny Man trilogies. Also like Rand al'Thor (WoT) and Elrond & Legolas from Tolkien and Tyrion (ASoIaF).

I would have to say Jaime Lannister from ASOIAF... though I'm also fond of Fitz Farseer, pretty much any Vestrit (from Robin Hobb's 'Liveships' trilogy) and Vimes and Vetinari from Discworld.

That has to be Silk of Drasnia (Prince Kheldar) from David Eddings The Mallorean and The Belgariad.
He is the perfect thief and an excellent lier, as well as a superb man. He also is an assassin.

It's a toss-up between Regis the Halfling and Bradwarden.

Both of them are RAS characters, Regis from The Legend of Drizzt and Bradwarden from the Demonwars.

Either Morpheus/Dream from The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, The Marquis de Carabas from Neverwhere(also by Neil Gaiman), or Dustfinger from the Ink trilogy by Cornelia Funke.

From all books I'd say Jaime Lannister from A song of Ice and Fire.

From Tolkien only, and second in general I'd say Boromir.

My obvious one would be Raistlin Majere of Dragonlance but then there are also Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle of Forgotten Realms.

As well as that dude ^ who is too awesome to put into words and is an automatic give in. Drizzt is sort of implied. lol

Hmm I dono tough question... I always like generally the main cast from the books I enjoy reading... but if I had to pick a specific character that stuck out at me and stays in my mind, then I'd have to say Kerowyn from By The Sword. And well also Tessa, Ravis and especially Angeline from The Barbed Coil.

Angeline is the type of character I find really fascinating, because she's on the outskirts of the main story, involuntarily drawn in and matures as she is forced to acknowledge the cruelty around her that she wanted to ignore. I really like characters that you watch grow and mature into powerful people.

Kind of agree with you in a way, though I prefer characters that change other than growing up throughout the story, like gradually going insane, for example.

That's true, that can be fun also, though it's tragic often as well.

Perhaps the two in tandem? One character growing up as their companion goes insane... XD That would probably mature you pretty fast.
