I be collecting Dwarves and Bretonians. After that I'l start with a chaos force.
Chaos of course
they rule so bad
maybe vamps too.
elves, all three kinds of them.
Me thinks i have too much time on my hands
starting with the first
and finally Dark elves
wood elves first and foremost and i dabble in vampire counts. now that the new brettonians are out ill be getting them two.
orcs and goblins , a small nurgle force , small undead force , I really wanna start a High elf army though!
I've got a bunch of em too! I started years ago with Skaven at the begining of 5th edition. Their uniqueness drew me to them. I learned to play with them, but lost horribly most of the time. The concept of playing a hoard army was vague to me at the time. So I took up wood elves. Always been a huge fan of elves, especially woodland ones. So I greedily collected a rather large army and proceeded to repetedly stomp my openents with them. After years of playing both, and switching back and forth. I got bored and decided to try out other armies. I really like Empire units and rules, but I despise the infantry models. Tried O&G's, fun but the lack of discipline gets annoying. My latest venture are the high elves, which I'm converting to more closely resemble elves of the 2nd age from LotR movies.
Over 2000pts worth:
-Orcs & Goblins
PS- If anyone knows a good way to convert imperial foot soldiers to look more macho yet still keep that uniform look, I'm all ears. I can't stand the frilly pantaloons!!!
Lizardmen tons,and tons,of skinks.GO swarms.
Brettonians! lol i have like 500 point army but when im out of school i will start collecting them again LOL, also i wanna collect wood elves cause elves rule!
Elves always get completely beaten in most warhammer games, at least against Dwarves, Empire and Chaos, and if Bretonians get close to them...Well thier toaste!
THe only way to fight a proper battle is be on the loosing side, i have won many games with my friends wood elf set... it doesnt come down to what they are and what they have, its the person playing... but for Woodelves you have to have a unflawed strategy
yes indeed, hope they do bring them out aye wood elves can totally kick but if u go a bit wrong tis gonna be difficult. meh, ill stick to them anyhow. elves sure dont get beaten most of the time, wood elves go the second most wins in the last global campaign thingy and most the time before that. dunno bout ye olde high and dark elves but they seem to be pretty nasty. though i will agree with you, they struggle against dwarves somewhat if you dont get multiple charges happening. especially when the are stubborn ie last stand scenario
Yes, my friend kicks the crap out of me with dwarves, i have still yet to think of a sound strategy to beat him... but most others i can take all good, Also i enjoy a game where the odds are against me... because that allows me to bring out my best tactics.. cause in some games i can figure in the first few moves that i am going to loose... and if i do.. i Take out as many as i can, or i usually find some advantage i can exploit
Meh I am starting to collect High elves...and man I read they can do some real nasty things.
Firstly Asgath says they get beaten by most Dwarves, Brettonian, Emprire and Chaos. That's most likely because their magic capabilites have never been put to full use. Some of the things Elves can do with magic is seriously not veery nice. All Elves gotta do is have mages sit all high and mighty and the back casting spells using the Book of Hoeth (all spells irresistable force) and others doing anything necessary. (If any of you play 40k, and you know the evilness of Seer councils -Ulthuan- then High elves with amgic are even eviller!)
i am collecting and playing with deamon hunters and imperial gaurdsmen they rule
I'm into the 40k stuff but I don't play it hardly at all though, when I do I'm the Eldar.
