Which continent are you on?
poll wasn't there when i posted. i swear
well, i posted for ya..;..
Europe either way you look at it, I was born in Scotland but as of a few years ago, I live in Belgium.
Island, we're not continental
Hey I'm from the same island and I say it don't matter
Lol yea, but haven't you seen those "Think like a continental" adverts. The difference is funny for those who live here, as you undoubtedly know
God, I'm glad only the UK (+Ireland) is on (an) Island(s). Imagine France and Germany feeling just as speshul as well.
I really hate the cocky "we're different, cuz we're on an island" kind of bovine crap. They're just the same - they just don't want to know it.
I am teh Europe btw
Being an Island (maritime) nation has had a big influence on our history.. it's also kept the rabies out
Imagine WWII with no English Channel. The German wehrmacht would have swept through the UK too. With no free european nations the US wouldn't have had a forward base or allies from which to launch the liberation of Europe. End result we'd all be sporting silly little moustaches
We like being separate but also part of Europe
I think Met was just joking For me it's all nonsense anyway, the whole world is part of the same landmass anyway so islands and such are effectively irrelevant
Island obsessed discussion. It's irrelivent. You're part of a continent. Whether you're seperated by a sea (a very small sea that is lol) doens't matter. You're part of Europe, not more, nothing less
Edit: I often felt this American wannabe vibe from Britain. More from England, rather than Scotland. So why don't you join that continent lol, so we can get rid of you lol
Sorry what's this in reference to? I mentioned the US in the context of WWII nothing else?
As we're on the same continental shelf as the rest of Europe you can't get rid of the UK that simply, no matter your prejudices
*Oops this is a poll thread*
Oh he was just kidding Elladan lol If he wasn't I'd have thrown a pencil across the room at him lol I may be from Scotland but I'm still British.... So I'm told
Separate names with a comma.
