 I'm, relatively speaking, not that much of a Frey-hater (i.e. I don't propose mass-murder as a suitable punishment for the Red Wedding) but...how could you?

Ned got himself killed by not heeding the advice of Littlefinger and also Renly. His honor is what got him killed. Robert is man's man. He doesn't waste time looking fashionable, like Renly, and he could best his brother Stannis at anything. Also, he has an unquenchable desire for women, and alchohol, which is not much different from your average male college student. Also, we see time and time again, that it's the men like Robert who end up lasting the longest, and not men like Robb Stark or Eddard Stark, who let their honor blind them to the reality of their situation. Robert knew that in order to assume the throne, he had to kill every remaining Targaryen, which is why he silently approved the actions of Tywin Lannister when he brought him the corpses of Rhaegars children, and also why he wanted to pursue Daenerys Targaryen when he found out that she had given birth. If he had continued to live, he could have paid with his life for listening to the advice of Ned, instead of common sense, which told him that Daenerys or her descendents would challenge him and his descendents for the throne. Ned would make a horrible King.

If you want to blame anyone for the Red Wedding, blame Tywin Lannister, since he was the one who convinced Walder Frey to turn against the Starks.

Not really...Frey didn't have to choose betrayal.

*Goes to sit in the corner, facing the wall ~ lip quivers*

I confess I have a really evil streak particularly when the wrongdoers are numerous and hold a key strategic location so can laugh in everyone's face. Now whilst the Starks are my favs, sewing on a wolf head was certainly a dramatic statement ~ no way back from that really is there. Oops sorry I killed them by accident then got the body parts all mixed up

If you'll remember, some of the Frey women looked upset before the killings started, like Edwin's wife. They clearly did not want to take part in the killings, but were probably threatened with beatings if they didn't go with the plan. I believe that in order to solve the problem, the Frey House must be relinquished of all of it's titles and lands, and forever be made to serve the Starks and Tullys as slaves.

Quite a few people didn't seem to agree...remember how many Freys weren't there when Catelyn was asking about them (Ser Perwyn comes to mind, and we don't know how much Roslin was involved either).

I'd definitely support House Frey losing all its lands and titles...not slavery though, I'm not that mean.

Ned would have been better just staying at Winterfell. And was Robert really a good king? No. Sure, he was a man's man, but is that a good thing to be when you are the king? Maybe he would be a good knight or soldier, but he wasn't made to be king. The only reason he was king is because he killed Rhagear, which shows he's strong, but it doesn't show much of anything else. You can't just be strong, you need to be smart too, which i don't think Robert was.

Well... I think Robert wasn't smart...

But Ned also made some very stupid mistakes.
For example, his last conversation with Cersei... When he warned her.
He signed his death sentence then.

Yeah, I love Ned but he's far too honest and well-meaning for his own good. He was always going to get completely and utterly screwed by someone more devious.

I voted for Stark, but I also would have voted for Targaryen, Martell, Tyrell, and Tully. I don't like Catelyn or Doran, though. I want the Sand Snakes freed.

My favourite are Starks, but after ASOS and AFFC I like Martell also very much.
And Targaryens too. They are my third favourite.
