I've just started on the series! SO far I've read both parts of the first book, both parts of the second book, adn I couldn't control myself so I skipped straight ahead to Crossroads of Twilight. I is a newbie :D

    Nooooo! Jnanee, DON'T SKIP!

Quite aside from the fact that the books are meant to be read in order, you won't understand a lot and you'll spoil a lot of the suprises and tensions; you're skipping what the vast majority of readers agree are the best books in the series, 3, 4 and 5!

Your very right, in fact I was reading Crossroads of Twilight and all the Aes Sedai with unfamiliar names were all interacting with each other at the start and I went all, "wtf?"

So I decided to skip right ahead to the last part where I realise that Egwene becomes Amrylin Seat. I is bad, I am (I'm the kind of person who spoils things for myself :D) I'll revisit Crossroads of Twilight once I read the others. Thanks, Unraveller.

I thought I said I didn't make it through the whole of Crossroads of Twilight, so I'm going back to Book Three and go on from there and eventually find out how Egwene becomes Amyrlin Seat

    (I'm shocked at Rand's two-timing ways though! )

Thank goodness you're going back and reading them all, Jnanee! Skipping ahead... for shame! :D

... and don't even got me started on Rand and the "love square." Gah... that's the only thing I don't like about Wheel of Time! It's just dumb! If I were Min or Elayne or Aviendah, and Rands tells me he loves us all "equally" I'd kick him hard where it hurts and walk away. Sheesh.

Eye of the World was probably my favorite so far. I have read the first 5 and just started on Lord of Chaos. Kind of a slow reader, not that you could read the series very fast anyway. Can't wait until I can actually get caught up to where I can be waiting for the next book to come out, if that will ever happen. One of my best friends turned me on to the series and i am so glad she did. One of the best series of books i have ever read.
