Personally I liked Eowyn fighting the Witch King.
I liked the scene where Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas jump from the Corsair's ship and then the ghost follow pursuit.
Also seeing Eldarion was cute
Eowyn lopping the Fell Beast's head off.......
Elrond giving Anduril to Aragon at King Theoden's tent...My hair stood up!!
"Be the King you were born to be"
The ride of the Rohirrim!
I have a few:
Eowyn & the Witchking
Sam carrying Frodo up Mount Doom
Ride of the Rohirrim (Theodens speech)
Everyone bowing to the hobbits at the end
The Elves and Frodo leaving for Valinor.
Who knows the whole thing was awesome, other than the scenes that were true to the book, I am gonna go with Legolas bringing down the Mumakil and the paths of the dead.
I would have to say Paths of the Dead and Frodo and Sam in Mount Doom. That scene was perfect.
Theoden rallying his soldiers before leading them into the Pelennor Fields, Eowyn fighting the Witch-King, the lighting of the beacons, Pippin singing, Aragorn turning to the men of the West and saying "For Frodo", then charging with Merry and Pippin close after him.
I would have to go with the Ride of the Rohirrim. Their charge on the Pellenor Fields was an awesome spectacle.
have to agree with you there, it was such an emotional part and it was simultaneously action packed and amazing and ......oh boy i loved it
Anything with faramir in it.
Gimli- That still only counts as one!
that deformed orc captain looking frazzeled for the first time
All the rohirrim shouting DEATH!
Minas morgul and those statues
I would have to say seeing the Tree of the King and its courtyard for the first time was quite breathtaking... OH, and the entire scene with the Rohirrim charging and everything leading up to that was just insanely awesome! Gave me goosebumps!
OOPS... forgot one thing that I saw above...
When the witchking's fell beast gets slain and he rises up... HOW COOL WAS THAT!?
It made me as giddy as a little girl! I sure wish he would have put up more of a fight... he looked like such a bad mofo!
When I for the first time saw Minas Tirith
When Aragorn recieved Anduril
When Sam carried Frodo up Mount Doom
When Pippin lighted the beacons
When Gandalf used his light to scare away the ringwraiths (the first proof of his power)
Theoden riding along his army beating everyone's spears with his sword
When Aragorn & Arwen finally got eachother
But the only scene that made me cry was when Aragorn said "You my friends... bow for nobody", that was just the most beautiful scene in the entire movie.
I have to agree with the Charge of Rohan onto the Pelenor fields. It was one of my fav. parts of the book as well.
Theres SO much that was great, but some of my favs are;
How Smeagol got the ring and his slow journey into madness
Pippin getting hold of the Palantir
Faramirs suicide mission with Pippin singing
The scene where Frodo,Sam,Gollum are about to ascend the stair and The Witcking's Lair explodes into that beam of light - it was SO LOUD it nearly blew me out of my chair.
The Eagles attacking the Nazgul
The Eagles picking up Frodo and Sam
I agree with you Legend, those are some of the best scenes in ROTK. I also particularly enjoyed the scene in Edoras where everyone is dancing and singing after the victory at Helms Deep, and Legolas all alone ever being on watch, letting his friends celebrate while he holds his duty, I thought it was very poignant and something that Legolas would do.
P.S. Also who knew that Billy Boyd could sing! WoW hate to admit it but I've fallen in love with a Hobbit! :ybounce:
My truelly favorite was if Gandalf was protecting Pippin of the orcs on the Minas Tirith wall.
Also good was:
-the chache of Rohan
-the suicide mission of Faramir
-The last batlle with Aragorn and that troll
-And ofcourse the entire movie!!!
