the battle at rauros.
Ride of the Rohirrim for me, in the battle of Pellenor Fields
I'd have to say Helm's Deep, because I thought it was extremely well constructed in both the book and the movie. Particularly the movie, since it raised so many great emotions in me. Plus, I always like it when the good guys are defending a fortress against impossible odds.
The battle at the black gate is so cool the glory to die just so that every one else can live is glorius
Either Helm's Deep or Pellenor fields. Both for the Rohirrim's part in it. I think Helm's deep is the winner, with the blowing of the horn of Hamburg and the Rohirrim's ride in. Cause Rohan rocks my socks.
the last alliance. or the black gate.
Oh most definatley the Battle of the Black Gate or the Battle of Five Armies.
I would say the battle of The Unnumbered Tears.
Many Elf and Men die it that battle.
And i also like the battle between Morgoth and Fingolfin
^ Well if we're talking all Tolkien's battles rather than just LotR, I particularly like the Fall of Gondolin (Lost Tales version) with Tuor, Ecthelion, Glorfindel, Galdor, Turgon et al
I loved the Battle of Bywater haha it was so great seeing the hobbits stand up for themselves.
helms deep. definitely helms deep. love the music. just a really awesome battle.
Aint nothing better than heavily armed Uruks at night Helms deep it is!
Maybe not so much of a battle, but The seige of Gondor is my favourite part of all.
The build up and tension was almost palpable. Brilliant
I like the final battle of the second book.It was amazing.
The Battle of Unnumbered Tears
The battle of Minas Tirith! Love the oliphaunts!
i like the retaking of the shire
its not the biggest
but it means the most to the people involved
I guess it has to be the battle of Helm's Deep but as it was written and described in the book.No fancy Elves arriving and no Aragorn and Gimli hollywood stuff.
After than that it's Minas Tirith of course.
Battle of A Thousand Tears or Unnumbered Tears I think it's called. In the Silmarillion.
