    Hiyo Y'All.

I've recently got back into a reading mood I long thought dimished, and I've seen this Wheel of Time series at my local book store. Sadly I know nothing about it and I must admit reading 10 books for just one series is incredibly intimidating for one such as I.

Could someone give me a bit of information on this book? Mostly I'd like to know what it is about and is it worth reading?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, its DEFINENTLY worth reading. Theres no doubt about that. Itd be very hard to summarize the story, because as you said, its at 10 books, and theres more to come. But if your a fan of fantasy, or you just appreciate a good story, its definently worth your time. And trust me, once you get into it, 10 books goes past far too quickly...

    Totally agree with EMT.

It's your basic obscurity to most-important-person-in-the-world story coupled with the good-vs-evil genre but on a far greater and more complex scale than anything written thus far (except maybe Tolkien's Middle-Earth works). The plot is certainly far more complex that of The Lord of the Rings.

I know that's not exactly easy to read or even something close to a review but I've been reading and analysing it for so long I find it hard to talk about it without giving away huge spoilers.

    A definite must do!!!

After I've read the first one, I've instantly got addicted to the series.
Every single visit to the cappitol or the big book fair (backwater country, what can I say), since the first one, I never failed to return without one in english, at the moment I'm missing four including new spring, at the moment.

Yeah - but will it ever end? I think the series peak was with Lord of Chaos and A Crown of Swords. Since then, I don't think it has been quite as good.
