I kind of hate how the Zelda games jump from one gameplay gimmick to another. That's all they are: silly gimmicks. They're all the same basic formula with one twist to it. Go through a set of dungeons (including but not limited to these dungeon themes: fire, ice, desert, under water, mountain, and forest) to get the magical artifacts to save Zelda again. But this time you time travel between young and old Link, or have masks that change your shape, or travel around on a boat... And since Ocarina of Time, it's always been the same exact combat style. At least Final Fantasy is up front about being the same style over and over.
