How would you rate Herry potter overal out of 10 and you must give a reason for your answer.

i would give it (9) the reason being is that it is Great but LOTR is still better. and has one up on it.

If I were rating the entire series, I would give it a 7. The first couple books weren't that thrilling. Typical fiction written for kids. It wasn't until the fourth book, where it became interesting for me. I think it's a good series, but not great.

    9. I love those books. LOTR is, of course, an 11.

Probably an 8. The first, third and fourth were good, but the second drove me bananas and the fifth was too long and the end made me....angry.....

I'd have to give harry potter maybe a 5. i'm probably going to get yelled at but oh well. i read the first 4 books and saw the movies and they are all fine and dandy for children who arent able to comprehend complex ideas and plots and such, but as for adults, i didnt like it so much. in every book harry and his troupe defeat the same exact enemy. rowling didnt even change his name or anything, its like she just uses the same formula: harry and friends go to school, harry and friends get into trouble, harry and friends almost die, harry saves day by "killing" voldemort. but then voldemort is never really dead and the whole thing repeats itself ad naseum. the least rowling could do is make harry and friends go thru some REAL problems like puberty (harry gets his first zit or something).

I'll give HP 9 too, it's great, but the first two books was way to short.

I love the series. The first two were designed for kids a little too much, but I still love them. With The Prisoner of Azkaban the series starts getting more involved and much more interesting. I'd give the series a 9.

I'll give HP an eight. The first book was nice, the second book was a bit nutty, the third book was excellent, the fourth book was an interesting read, and the fifth book was...well...dark.As for the movies, the first one was really nice, and the second one was a bit crappy.

I'd probably go with a 7 or 8 for the entire series, but books 3-5 I would give an 8 or 9. 10 is reserved for LOTR though for me!

10 it is great in some ways it is lord of the rings for children because some I know don't really understand and it is boring (the only reason I like LOTR is the movies I don't care for the books they are complicated) but Harry potter something thrilling is around every corner especially in #5 and I'm only on page 300 but it is already my favorite

I think I'll give an 8 for those books I've read. The Order of the Phoenix is still lying on my floor, I haven't read it just yet. Harry Potters are good books, they're funny and original, but not the best fantasy books I've read. For the second and for the third book I'll give a 9, though - they are my favorites. Maybe I should start reading the fifth book...

I would give Harry potter a 1, beacause the whole storyline is just sad. They are like the NoObIeSt movies of all time, I mean no offense but i would rather watch Star Wars than Harry Potter, and I dislike Star Wars very much.
