I find it hard to believe you'll be disappointed, as even the biggest Tolkien enthusiast can sit down and appreciate films of such epic proportions.
I completely understand where you're coming from though. I have read books that I hope are never made into films, as I'm not sure whether justice would be done.
LotR however, is one of those rare occasions where a great job was done
I'm glad you will watch the movies one day Kaly. You won't be crushed or dissappointed I don't think. Make sure you let us all know when you do watch them and give a review of the trilogy here on the forum so we see how you exactly responded to the films.
i love it, it is awsome, and has great morals, and a very good story
How do you ask that question on a LotR forum. Yes, it's a beautiful thing.
Hey Bard, where'd you get that avatar from? It's really cool looking.
It's supposedly Grimbeorn, just google "Grimbeorn."
Yeah, thanks Bard, I found it.
The movies are excellent. I didn't expect Peter Jackson to have every little detail in each movie. Why, if he did then each movie would have been more than three hours. I believe he did a fabulous job of casting the characters as well. I give each of the movies a A++.
Yes, I agree, but I would add some of these: +++++++++++++++^^
It is the right mixture. They fit to each other and fit into their charakters. It is just perfect and the best fil/trilogy that has ever existed.
Oh, and the music is great too, just perfect.
I personally feel that the Lord of the Rings movies are the best movies ever made. That about sums it up.
Hmm yeah. Right up there with Star Wars (better movies, but nearly equal classics) as I never have to say it's my favorite movie. I always exclude SW and LOTR, as it's a given.
There's one other movie-book adaptation that I think is better, and I think that most people will agree: The Chronicles of Narnia
