In a fantasy setting, which of these would you be and why?
Personally, I'd be a specialist mage, specializing in Conjuration magic. It's a subtle form of magic, and one that allows you to access powerful summoning magic, as well as teleportation magic. Subtle always beats force in my books.
Cleric-ranger, probably some spesialized character. I love the idea of two weapon fighting and rangers have the sneakiness without the nastyness. Cleric, because the idea of such a close and undersanding relationship with your god amazes me.
Standard mage, I love the idea of wielding all kinds of magic
I dunno if I've done this thread before, but oh well... I'll go for ranger. I particularly like the dual wielding types in the D&D world. Rangers being archers also interest me as well...
Fighter-mage, something like the Thirty by David Gemmell.
Specialist mage, one that messes with people's minds. Either that or a standard mage. I like the concept of physically fighting someone, but I'm not tall/strong enough for it, and I much prefer mental exercise to physical exercise.
Mage-Thief! You get to be sneaky and evil and turn people into toads.
I don't know if its the same, but I played the game quest for glory...I started as a thief so my first choice was thief...but when you complete the game you become a paladin...now cool thing about the game is also that you could save your character on a disc for the sequel and continue as a paladin...you would still have the skills of a thief, but much more too...so I could learn magic and learn to fight as a real swordsman.
Specialist mage. Specializing in using and manipulating life force.
I still think standard mage is better...
Ranger, I think . I'm fairly fit and tough, but I couldn't handle much physical fighting. Any kind of mage would be good either.
I chose Paladin. Hear me out though before you hurl abuse.
I used to abhore Paladins, but they've grown on me. Firstly, they have the SEXIEST armour around. You cannot argue that their armour is beautiful and on the battlefield you inspire your allies, and strike a fearsome formidable impression into you're enemies. Secondly, they also get some amazingly crafted swords that are just disgustignly amazing. You also get enough magic to supposrt yourself but not enough to be a bit of a spineless mage
Plus, I think I would be a bit of a rough Paladin. Not quite being as uptight as the others, but still being able to be in the presence of honour aswell as a good sense of justice where it needs to be delivered, because for all of their failings and "gayness", Paladins are some of the most just and cool people :O
Interesting responses everyone, and thanks for replying so far. I'm mostly just curious. Yeah. Curious
*lol* Meteorain. Only cos you requested so politely. But I have to say I didn't really expect that from you *grin*
Me either. Saw you more as a fighter class with spesialization in exotic weapons. I would also love to see this "sexy" armour of yours.
Well the armour not's going to REALLY be sexy, it just looks incredible.
Yea, I never thought of myself as a Paladin either...more of a Berserker, but then I realised I had the same sought of thinking as a Paladin :S
I managed to keep from laughing TOO hard, if it's any consolation.
What was so funny? <_<
I guess mainly it's the pic of Deadpool staring me in the face when I read your posts, and his image doesn't really make me think "paladin" Not sure what Liadan's thinking is though
Deadpool is a Paladin on the inside
