So I was just wondering what anime series (or even manga series) that you guys are keeping up with right now. I know the forum isn't so active right now, and I hope this can promote some discussion and get things going a bit. (As a note, I have only been watching anime for the past couple of months so I don't really have as diverse of a background as many of you guys are sure to have. I am very open to suggestions though! :) )

    Right now:
    -Naruto Shippuden
    -Hajime No Ippo
    -Full Metal Alchemist

    Just finished:
    -Hunter X Hunter
    -Samurai Champloo
    -Naruto + fillers, heh

Oh god, what am I watching. . .I've got quite a list, atm.

    In English:
    Bleach
    Blood +
Eureka 7 (almost done, only one episode left)
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu (good LORD is this amazing! I had no idea! Its our running series in JMAC right now)

    In Japanese:
    Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto
    Bokurano
    El Cazador de la Bruja
    Claymore
    D. Gray-Man
    Darker than Black
Gintama (currently my fave, it rocks)
Hayate no Gotoku (Hayate the Combat Butler)
    Moonlight Mile
    Saiunkoku Monogatari

My fansub list is longer than usual right now because new stuff comes out in April. There are at least three on that list I haven't seen more than two eps of yet, so it'll probably get weeded down a little in a month or two.

Heh, if you just have random money to get rid of ... college is expensive! =p

By the way, what do you guys think of Bleach? I have heard mixed reviews on it, but it seems to be pretty popular so I am pretty tempted to check it out when I finish FMA and HNI and while I wait for Naruto, heh.

Bleach isn't bad. It's pretty much a typical Jump-type story, which really isn't surprising considering it runs in Jump, but whatever. I don't usually go for the formulaic type of shounen in that magazine (Naruto, Dragonball, One Piece [Japanese, of course, not the 4crap version]) that ends up really popular, and I like Bleach, so I guess that says something.

Ooh, I've watched the first four or five eps. I REALLY want to see the rest. One of my friends is seriously into it, he has Saber and Archer as D&D characters.

Just finished up Hajime no Ippo and Full Metal Alchemist. I would definitely recommend both, but FMA was pretty dang amazing. Some of the stuff that went down was CRAZY!

    Ippo is too amazing. He's a mofo'ing beast >_<

The manga goes much past the anime, and it's actually better I believe.

FMA is good too. I really love the short jokes and how he over-reacts to them.

FMA together with GITS:SAC was the anime that really got me hooked on anime. I had a casual interest prior to that point, mostly because a few of my friends were into it, but I first started watching it religiously on my own when FMA was on Adult Swim the first time.

Met, do you pay for most of your mangas? Or do you just download them somewhere?

    Not telling....kekekekekeke

No but seriously, I just download them. I've only ever read some of Getbackers and GTO in book form because they were there in the library. It's too hard to find places that sell manga's in London that aren't broken up or incomplete.

Thinking back on it....FMA sure was a good and fun anime, but slightly over-hyped. It's not as amazing as it's hyped out to be.

Yeah, but what really is? I still like Naruto and Hunter a bit more, but I REALLY did enjoy FMA. It was a bit different in how everything worked and the plot twists were pretty dang ridiculous. (And they don't happen over like 15 episodes) I like how it really tries to justify everyone's ideals, even the bad guys. I guess Hunter does that a lot as well, but in general, enigmatic bad guys bug me. I want to know why they are the way that they are. I wouldn't have minded some more character development with Dante and Heimlight or w/e his name was, though.

So you just use torrents? I think I might start doing that, but that's also kinda the point where you lose all dignity haha. You're pretty much obsessed once you start getting into the mangas lol

Currently watching "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi". They got one more ep to release before it's finished. Man this series so awesome lol

mermaid forest, record of lodoss war:chronicles of the heroic knight, shrine of the morning mist, soul taker, serial experiments lain, I think that's it. Still haven't finished The new Guyver. Gave up on Trinity since it sucked and BAsilisk is done and awesome.
