    I like that morrigan.

So how does this work? Does each person write a story for the month or does one person a month do it...

I was thinking everyone writes a story with the given criteria, and posts it.
Then we can analyse each others work, and flame the hell out of each other! Constructively of course!

I like that idea as well!
Sort like the Desert Punk anime.

Yeah, I was thinking on the 30th of every month something is due!
Do you think we need a plot concept? or let it run free this time?
And do we need a min/max word count?
I dont want to see something like the Wheel of time here!

Maybe this time let it run free and see how it goes. If we think there needs to be a plot concept in the future then we can add it, but I think we should just leave as is to get the feel of this.

And, i dont know about min/max word count....but definitely short story size. No novels, I would be hard pressed to properly read and criticize anything over 7 pages single spaced. I have loads of reading for Brit Lit, French and Ed Psych. So if its too long I will not be able to comment much. And that is one of the main points on this.

    Alright sounds good!
Right! so a Sci-fi story in a post apoc/western setting, no more than 7 pages or so.
With no inhibiting boundaries, save quality! :p
    Is everyone happy with that?

I agree.....it would be interesting to see how we all tackle as individuals a particular theme without too many constrictions......it will also provide a benchmark for critique purposes.

I think we should have a word count in place, it's easy to go overboard and as Alch said, too time consuming to critique.

PS and before we get too heavy and full of self importance here, remember......IT"S SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!!!!!!!!

Oh, I forgot.......can we make the criticism optional? Some may like to contribute but would rather not have their writing picked apart to start with, or at all for that matter. I'm fine with it, just didn't want to scare others off.

Cant see why not! However it seems an unrealistic expectation to write something and deny people their right to rip it to pieces and destroy your self esteem! :p
