    Can anyone recommend the order in which to read the unfinshed tales of Tolkien

    Can anyone suggest the order in which to read Tolkien's unfinshed tales

    I would read them in bookwise order.

    I can also advise you to move this thread to the tolkien book forums before the mods do it for you.

    Hey, I just remembered this thread. I once saw a list that gave a pretty good order to go through the books, but I can't find it... Anyway, you could start with something that is connected to LOTR, like 'The Quest to Erebor' where Gandalf tells about the adventure of the Lonely Mountain (from 'The Hobbit') or 'The Istari' where you could learn more about the Wizards.
