I'm annoyed that it's about the most boring possible chapter :S

But next to the Blood Ravens probably the most well known chapter -and Blood Raven fans are mostly drawn from the Dawn of War group.
Shame its about the walking meatcans, but well they are supposed tobe popular. Now all we need is a rating for it - strickly speaking it should be 18 (UK side) and whatever the oldest adult setting is for the US. But I suspect since that would cut its audience down a lot we will have a 15 rating on the cards (Its going to have blood - much of it)

They're uberabadass, but they're too popular, most people love them just cause they're too imba, while the eg. adeptus mechanicus or the inquisition don't get the attention they deserve and they're equally awesome at least.<3

The Inquisition are just arseholes. How dare they attach themselves to the lovely SoB :( and the mechanicus are just some spastics worshipping a necron god!

There's nothing imba about the SM, infact, it's Chaos that are beastly :S

Mechanicus would require too much story depth and inteligence to get to work for a US audience - similar too of the Inquisition - plus they really would push the age rating up ;)

Imperials are the other most likley group to be made, but its sort of been done before - starship troopers. Whilst actual Space Marines are very well known, but when you look at most films we don't have them appear at all

    Can't argue that ;)
But still, i ****ing hope they add at least something :/ adeptus sororitas or the ecclesiarchy or something

Pretty sure, it was a major battle during the sabbat crusade ^_^
I'm talking lore-wise, not tabletop though

Yea well, Space Marines do have moments of exceptional badassery.

Lol I just heard from local GW that they did a proper statline game of 10 SM vs 3000 Guard and the SM's won without a single casualty lol.

Apparently the SM's had 3 3+ saves due to: Armour, Super Toughness, 2nd Heart kicking in.

thats what makes space marines so stupid. Whats the point if they are practically invincible? Where's the fun in playing if you cant really lose?

Never really liked them tbh. On the other hand I can see why people love them so much. bang kill eat bolter. You cant kill me!

They are popular with new players and especailly the younger groups sinc they are a more simple to use army with a lot of guns - but it would be nice for them to get a little more nerfing back to some sane standards.....

They did it according to "Lore". Mind you they were fighting 3000 pts worth of guardsman, no vehicles and stuff.

They are not that hardcore in the game itself, which is understandable. I like the SM because they are just so badass in all the fluff/lore/stories. Also they go around killing shit with righteous vengeance which is sometimes misplaced lol

Again why are people complaining about the SM when CSM's are so much more imba than SM's. Not to mention the Tau pisstake shooting phase.

SM are tough yes, but they aren't the quintessential super race that people complain about. They are easy for a starter yes, but they aren't unbeatable.

I honestly thing the game needs rebalancing back toward close combat - or at least my nids need tobe a LOT cheaper in the new codex (yay more monies to spend on nids). If the guns are going tobe that good then the only way to beat them is mass of numbers (reliably since one can never garantee effective cover to hide in for the extent of the battle field)

Well you know I did play against Tau last thursday. It was a capture and hold (I was playing my friend's Chaos) and I fought him to a draw.

My ****ing defiler got immobilised so I couldn't do any rapefest shit in CC and my battlecanon kept shooting at a tree due to his pffffft 4+ cover save in a forest. I also had the wrong groups in the wrong rhino so my super commander was in the holding objective team and nt assualting. Tres Lame.

Commander had 2d6 + normal attacks as his number of attacks. In total he wasn't even worth 150pts and he was a rape machine. God how much more can you take the piss.

My rhino though made up for double it's points. Took out a Crisis suit rofl

I agree. They've released how many versions of the game now? and it's still not that balanced.
