and less interesting
precisely, so what do you think, maeglin or ecthelion ?
I think it was ecthelion because maeglen was captured and probably had his sword taken away
I just read the fall of Gondolin from Bolt again an Maeglin's house
fought with axes so it couldn't have been him anyway.
It's a pity they tore down all the sets of Hobbiton. They'll have to build them all over again for a Hobbit movie - unless they have unused footage from LOTR?
I hope that The Hobbit would not be compressed to one film. If the rights were given to New Line and Peter Jackson, he would have no problem with permission for making two 3 hour movies. I just don't want to have to wait a whole year in between the two. 6 months, 9 at the most. Too bad there isn't a hobbit movie section.
I doubt that goblin cleaver was as powerful as foe hammer since the goblins hated Glamdring most. Maybe that's just because it was more famous. Yeah, that's probably it.
Maybe orcrist was Turgon's dirk
Or his short sword ( more likely)
Um, they hated Orcrist more. They never got a chance to comment on Glamdring before it was put into the chieftain's belly.
let's just say they weren't very fond of both of them
I would like them to make Ringil, Fingolfin's sword he used to challenge Morgoth.
id much prefer to see Gurthang the blacksword made, that sword has so much character, be interesting to see it made in a blue'd steel with silver edges
yeah, I am wondering about how they would do that without it beiing funny looking
I would definately purchase a Ringil if it was made, the sword that drew blood from Morgoth 8 times...so cool...so cool. And of course anything from Gondolin (Tuor's Axe would be a definate buy).
ooooooooooooohhhh, yes Dramborleg. I forgot about that one.
Yeah i could just imagine that hanging on my wall very handy if burglars are about
I hope and have said ever since I saw the Fellowship of the Rings, that Pete should go back and do "The Hobbit". I would hope that with the success with LOTR, that New Line would be moving heaven and earth to secure the rights to have it made and get Mr. Jackson to sign on to do it! As Elrond and some of the other elves seen in LOTR are important figures throughout Middle Earth history, I would like to see Hugo Weaver and the other actors who have done such a fine job in the LOTR series, brought back to reprise their characters as needed in the Hobbit. Even Ian Holm's could be brought back to do Bilbo himself... if he feels up to it, and if they don't wait too terrible long! Then were would be a whole new host of collectable stuff (can anyone PM me the winning Powerball numbers, for the next drawing "BEFORE" they are drawn!?!). :sitonsmil
