Two runic alphabets

    I noticed that the runic alphabet fromThe Hobbit is different than the one from LOTR. Why is that.

    probably because thror's map was dwarvish, also they use sindarin in the movies if im not mistaken. there is not only two types of runes.

    So, in the Hobbit, the runes are Dwarvish, but in LOTR, the runes are Elvish. That makes sense to me, I suppose.

    There is more than one type of Rune...
    Khuzdul, Sindarin, Quenya...they are just a few
