Yeah I doubt it.
I honestly don't get why people feel they have to come e-knight (badly) for the series.
Oh yeah... sounds like a dvd I have got!
*shakes head* I didn't really want to know lol
ahahahaha...ahem [shuffles feet guiltily]
I have that on VHS. It gets pretty staticy after the third scene.
This conversation is suddenly very awkward.
Actually, this happens a lot more than you'd think. This is the third time I've seen a conversation involving Twilight devolve into weird sex talks. The other two were when I was telling people (both girls, imagine that) why I think Twilight sucks, and they defended it, and somehow turned into talking about sex. I think it's them thinking about Mr. Sparkles that does it. The get all "omg, he's soooooo hot!" and then start talking about sex. -_-
Women. Both of the conversations I'm remembering were turned to sex by women. Then again, I could be pulling revisionist history to make myself seem less perverted. Yay subconscious strangeness.
I agree with what others have said, that there are definitely other fantasy worlds much more deserved of their own section than Twilight... as it hardly counts as fantasy... but meh... I just tend to avoid it. Even though I did enjoy the movie and the books were okay for a few days of reading but I don't feel like I'll ever want to read them again :/
If there is a section for the Sword of Truth series, than I have no problem with Twilight. At least Twilight only bored me 4 times instead of 13.
Sorry! I would have been here sooner but I was too busy posting in the Twilight section and not being a whiny turd.
If you don't want to post in a forum where there's a Twilight section, go find a forum that doesn't have a Twilight section. Why would you want to take away from others' discussion because you don't think the section should be there? That's not very nice.
I nominate this for quote of the year!
Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but my only issue is the location of the section. Twilight is a very popular book series, sure it deserves a forum section. I just think it's silly that it's in the fantasy worlds area rather than the books area. I don't think Harry Potter should be in the worlds area either, for that matter. But my thing is a semantics issue, not whether or not Twilight should have a section.
Honestly, I agree with you that the people who think it shouldn't have a section at all need to stop whining. Any fantasy book with millions of fans is worthy of a section.
Twilight and Harry Potter are in the Fantasy Worlds section because they consist of both books and movies. The mods wanted to keep them contained in one place, instead of 'polluting' the forum with two sections instead of one.
And yet the Sword of Truth section remains in the books section when it has a TV series. There's an argument to be made for each side, but the point of contention for me is this: what's the criteria for it being a whole fantasy "world" instead of just a series of books? If it's having multiple mediums, then The Sword of Truth should be in the fantasy worlds section. And A Song of Ice and Fire would fit in there as well, if the HBO show goes past making a pilot. It's really all just semantics as far as I'm concerned.
I do have to say this, though... Regardless of where the section is for Twilight, I'm happy there is one. That way, I don't have to see any of it.
The Sword of Truth section was established long before the TV series came out, which would explain why it's only under the book category. I'm guessing no one has requested that it be moved yet. *shrugs*
I'm not saying it should be moved, just pointing out the facts. I don't really care where the sections are, I just decided to add my two cents.
In that case, good job Jor.
