I don't know who has gone out and seen this yet, but from the scenes I saw, there are some cool looking blades in this movie.

I especially liked the sword of Achilles. The pommel and the blade itself looked very unique and a spin off of the traditional Roman Spatha. I hope UC pics up this contract too. I would love to see some swords from this movie.

I normally dont like the leaf blade style of sword but I agree that those were nice, I loved Ajax's pole hammer.

Ya, it was an interesting spin off of the leaf blade design. I like the pole hammer too. Reminded me of the one in Ninja Gaiden.

This should be under historical blades shouldn't it? Cause if you go to any decent museum on Greek culture and history, you'll see these swords. It's something I liked very much in the movie, how historically accurate it was on things like costume and jewelry. I've seen crowns just like Helen's in the Hermitage museum in Amsterdam and swords in Athens and Heraklion like the movie swords.

I didn't put under historical, because it is a fictional representation. The swords are from a film, not an actual historical event. Just curious to see if anyone else would be interested in buying ones if it came out.

I found a bunch of pics. I uploaded them to the gallery. Here is a link to the best picture.

Look at all of the Troy pics. I got a couple of Ajax hammer. The one I want is in a couple of pics. But the one I linked to is the best shot of it. There is another cool one of it where it is stored inside Achilles shield.

The sword of Achilles is definatley the best blade in the films. The smaller dagger that he has to go with it would be nice too. I hope UC picks up this license.

"It's something I liked very much in the movie, how historically accurate it was on things like costume and jewelry. "

There was NO historical accuracy to the movie in the way of arms and armor, or costume, for the most part... Sadly. If anyone is interested in links and such for historic items from the era, please IM me, and I can get you information if you would like some.

Also, the Noble Collection has released a wall-hanger Achilles sword, and it only costs $200. Tht piece is EXTREMELY unhistorically accurate, though! So a warning to anyone buying it for it's 'accuracy'...

Who cares if it is "History" accurate, almost all swords made today aren't "history" accurate anyway, they are either fantasy or movie based. Achilles sword is cool and as soon as i scrounge up the money I'll get it.
