I literally went mad last night trying to find this blasted tomb. FF8 disc one. I've just got myself a nice shiny red car that seems to run out of petrol way too quickly. Directions are to head NorthWest to find the tomb. Use the car because it's dangerous on foot.
Problem is: I can't find this tomb anywhere! Is it actually visible or do I need to go searching around rocks n stuff for it?
If anyone has an great idea on how to direct me, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

this one is easy. Remember where General Caraway is?

Just exit the city, and head towards the tip of this map, along the north. If you face the city front, jsut head of east and north to a tendril of the land's relief, and its right at the end :p

Yeah I turned around to face the other way and it was right there! Argh! Talk about frustrating. I was heading in the assigned direction facing from the city rather than on the map itself.
Anyway, I hit the tomb and let the water come in and all that but I seem to be lost again. Can't find the darn lever! I don't think only being on level 12 is going to get me anywhere fast either :p

lol...no it won't. Unfortunatly, you'll need to be at a higher level to fight Brother, and Edea. :(

Did you buy the accessory that let's you see where you are on the map? If not, leave the tomb (either find the exit by chance, or there is a wall with directions to get out. You can actually just leave by pressing a certain button, but it takes down your SeeD ranking. But that in itself is no big deal, since you can just take the written test to bring it right back up.) and buy it from the guard at the Carnaway (sp) mansion.

Then just use that. You really have to be careful even with that marker though. It doesnt show which direction you're facing, and it's quite easy to get lost.

Just remember that if you turn...right, for instance. You'll be facing the right side on the map, but the screen won't look any diffrent than if you were to continue going straight. Ok that was confusing but I hope you got it :D

I think the three parts you have to go is (I'm not sure...I'll look to confirm) the upper right, the upper left, and right behind the tomb.

Make sure you save before fighting him. Its a bitch having to do all that again. Just exit the tomb and save there. The entrance is only a couple screens, straight in. No turning involved.

Ok...you know how the map shows the three points extending outward to the west, north, and south? You'll need to visit each of those. It's a lot easier to just leave the tomb and start over...here's the SeeD test answers:
    Test1 : Y,N,Y,Y,Y,N,N,Y,N,N
    Test2 : Y,N,Y,Y,Y,N,Y,Y,N,N
    Test3 : N,N,Y,N,Y,Y,Y,N,Y,N
    Test4 : N,Y,Y,Y,N,N,Y,Y,N,N
    Test5 : N,N,N,Y,Y,N,N,Y,Y,Y
    Test6 : Y,N,Y,Y,N,N,Y,Y,N,Y
    Test7 : Y,Y,Y,Y,Y,Y,N,Y,Y,N
    Test8 : N,Y,N,N,Y,Y,N,N,Y,N

Ok wait up, I'm way confused. First thing I did was go right. I've got the layout of the tomb down pat :D
I fought Whats-his-name and he ran away. Then I went and turned some switch which is on the left side of the tomb. The I went straight up the top and let the water in. Apparently, I'm supposed to find a lever now to let the bridge down so I can fight the brothers, but that's the one I couldn't find.
AND... what's this about the test? How do you take it to up your level? I've been on level 4 since I started.

I can't remember about having to do four things before fighting brothers...try going back to either when you fought Sacred, and the other two places you went too...because there's nothing else in the rest of the tomb (that I remember).

The test is under tuturiol (sp) in the main menu, labled something like written SeeD test. When you would usually get the level 4 salary, you would get a level 30 salary, which is a lot higher.
(Sorry about all that unecessary stuff before :D)

Don't stress. You sure are handy though Cheesy :D

Yeah I'm really not sure about fighting the brothers. I've let the water in and everything but the bridge isn't down so I can't get to their hideout. It's always the simple things that drive me insane!

Try going back to each of the three places (where you fought Sacred and the other two places) and just walk slowly around the edges, pressing X constantly. Other than that I'm not sure what to tell you :(

Yeah (how lame) but I tried that. And those silly things that keep falling on their backs take forever to die. Talk about time consuming. I'm going to have to equip my peoples with new shoes the way we've been running away heh :D

hmmm...The only think I can think of is there might be a glitch, because you seem to have done everything...hold on, I'll try to find a guide that lays it all out

If you have Diablos, you can learn Enc-Half and eventually Enc-None to avoid enemies...eventually :D
