Apparently one in five readers are going to immediately turn to the end to find out how it ends. How strong is your nerve? Will you make it all the way through before finding out?

I'd be tempted to, but I couldn't. It'd totally ruin it for me. I don't want any spoilers, I've been avoiding Harry Potter sites because I've heard that there are ending spoilers floating around, and I don't want to see any.

I plan on finishing it under a day anyway. :p

I'll probably peek. Course I didn't peek on the last one so *shrug*

If a book starts dragging too much I usually read the end...hope I don't haveta do this with harry potter, but I voted yes anyway. Those spoilers were killer.

    I'll probably pick.

The series is not THAT great that I don't want it spoiled. My peeking usually just involves the last page, which most of the time doesn't give THAT much info, but it doesn't relaly spil the book for me, since it's more about the journey than the destination!

Then again I didn't last time, and I just read through it quickly...too busy reading to bother peeking :p

I'll have to read the rest of the series though to catch up and remember wtf is going on...

Nope, but then again I read very fast. If I had to put the book down overnight I'd be tempted.

It'd be fun to peek, but it takes all the fun of the book away. The good thing is I'll spend all day reading it and be done in no time. :D

I can honestly say that I have never peeked at the end of a book. Its just not in me. While I long to find out the end, I am never tempted to read the back, there is no point, I will get to it eventually.

    I peeked at two occasions:

After about 100 pages, I looked at how many pages I had to go. I found that I read it a bit too eagerly, as I wanted to make it last :)

The other was when I started the second to last chapter, to see whether it really was the last. It wasn't to my dismay :)

But no, I sort of closed off to HP coverage in the days previous to the release just so to hope I would miss all the stupid gits spilling the beans, as word was out the book had leaked. And I have zapped over all the english-spoken channels on TV just so to avoid knowing just about anything in advance :)

I didn't peek, even though I had to go and work for a couple of hours just after I'd bought the book - didn't even look at the first chapter title, though I was tempted. Then I came home and read the book in one sitting :D.

Yes, I always peek. But only at the very last page, so I know the basic details of what happens in the end. Not so I know all the details and exactly what happens.

I bought the book, haven't read it yet, and yes I flicked to the end just to know the ending. I know, I know, I'm weak. And I'm glad I am cause it was driving me crazy not knowing how it all turned out.

I read the book immediately when it was released, and I was weak, too: After some chapters I was so curious I had to read the epilogue :D But it was still thrilling cause I still didn't know how it came to this end. But, really, that was the only book I ever did such a thing :D

But-but-but - how can you buy it without reading it? And if you're half way through you know that you'll read the end when time comes (unless you're struck by lightning or something else miserable which I hope does not happen to most people every day.). So how can you peek and read the end, when it's most likely not going to make sense unless you've read the rest of the book anyway?

    I don't get it.

And No, I do not peek, peeking is a sin in my book. (or at least close to being a sin (but then I guess we live in a rather sinful world, )and no, I'm not über religious or anything)

The first thing I do with every Book (before I buy it) I read the last sentence.
That decides about the rest. If the last sentence is crap, I won't read it.
Now with Harry POtter, it was clear that I'd read it no matter how bad the las sentence would be. The last sentence was bad- so was the very end. The rest of the book was good.
But yah, usually I won't read a book if the last sentence is crap.

Why bother with peeking? If you love a book so much you won't peek a head to see what happens. That's cheating. lol. While others might be tempted to peek a head I haven't. No matter how many times I have read the book I don't peek. When it comes to a new novels, I never peek a head. That's just not right. Think about all of the time the author put into writing the book. I won't spoil it just to see what happens in the next chapter or at the end. No way. Peeking isn't for me.

As a writer I believe it is awful to jump to the end, instead of letting the author unfold his twists to reveal his master plan, you jump to the treasure without the adventure of the map. A treasure is not a treasure without a map, its only a bank.

When reading Deathly Hallows, I went to the end and found out if he lived. It's the only time I've done that.
