I finally passed my driving test a couple of months back, it was awesome. So I can drive a manual but I don't have any money to buy one.

Heyyyy! Grats! Cherish that piece of paper/plastic. It's your ticket to freedom :D

Cars will come eventually. Or, as in my case, not :)

From what I understand cars are expensive everywhere. I'm tossing between getting a cheap run around for less than £1k or saving up and shelling out 5-7k on a better car.

Yeah, cheers on you passing! I'm not sure how much easier/harder it is here but it's a big step.

I think it's a lot easier to pass in the US, honestly. Auto is the standard over there where over here it's the opposite. Automatics are more expensive, lessons and tests are more expensive and harder to get. At least in my area. Although it's more essential for over there because you don't have as much public transport as we do? And you get taught to drive through School? Or is that a misconception?

    Night Tam!

You can be taught in school, but it's like an elective.

We don't get the option here, and lessons are so freaking expensive.

I did the maths one day and I spent approx £1016 on driving lessons.

Yep, and that's not all, folks! Now I have to buy a car + road tax + insurance + MOTs

...why did I do this, again?

I can walk it in literally two songs though. I live in the town now so everything is on my doorstep.

Oh fancy that. I'm in a city too and it's bollocks honestly. Californians are the rudest people on earth and the air is gross and I want countryside

Oh I still have countryside, I'm not in a city. I don't think I could stomach it honestly living in the country so long.

I didn't know what I was missing until it was gone. Story of my life! There's just... People... Everywhere. They're like ants and twice as mean. I'm going to retire to the mountains and forests and streams of the Pacific Northwest and have a little farm
