Oh yea we have already had a couple of piggy episodes. It's kind of funny watching an 80pound little girl try to hold back an 80 pound bulldog. Hehehe

Love your dog nitelyechos , is he a boxer cross? (has a bit of a boxer look about him, minus the short snout.)

The step-dog, Remus, and his mom. He's some sort of Welsh Terrier mix. All love, no bark, and no shedding.

I have acquired a partner in crime some time ago. His name is Tonto, and he is around one year old and is getting educated to become a patrol dog in the Swedish army. He also is my obedience, hiking, agility, tracking and bikejoring companion.

That last one is probably the coolest photo in this entire thread! It sounds and looks really good to have a companion like that.

    Fucking awesome!

Is he an Australian Shepherd?.. has the same markings as such. Beautiful dog!
At any rate, he's close kin to my favorite dog breed, Border Collies...
I had a Border Collie for years, got her from a shelter for abused animals, took forever it get her to trust me, and as she had been a working dog on a ranch all she really wanted to do was herd stuff... mostly kids! She would look intently at kids playing at the park, and felt compelled to herd them in a circle! Unfortunately her favorite tactic was to nip the heals of whatever she was herding and also making faux charges at them, which of course is scary for a little kid.
    Good luck with Tonto!

I love working dogs. They go beyond needing warmth and caring, they need to feel useful. I miss my old dog, Jaz... wherever good dogs go after they die, she must be going crazy herding cats.:)

He is an Australian Shepherd! :D

Border Collies is one of my favorite breeds, but I wouldn't be able to do enough herding to keep one happy. Amazing dogs! I would love to own one.

Tonto is from working lines and his breeder is in the Swedish army with one of her dogs, tracking down people, patrolling army bases etc.
I love working dogs as well, I want a dog that has the will to work. We intend to compete next year so it's going to be a lot of fun! He will also come along on the Swedish Fjällräven Classic with us next year a 110 km hike in the remote wilderness in the north of Sweden. It's not an extremely long distance, but the remoteness and terrain makes it pretty hard for a pupper.

    And thank you!
