a sword that is a axe and a gun all together
There is an Indian weapon, from India, call ed a whip sword. its two to three thin long steel strips attached to a handle used lieka whip or lash and worn around the waist.
Anime/unrealistic weapons and Armor
ever since the first giant mallot came out in a bugs bunny show (or... another older show) there has been unrealistic weapons and armor found in cartoonish tv shows and video games.
What's yur fave unrealistic weapon??
What's yur fave unrealistic armor??
I think my fave weapon is Cloud's sword in Final Fantasy. It's HUGE! but... it rocks!
Nizati, I merged your thread with this existing one. There are some truly crazy swords listed here already!
oh, ty! i was wondering where that went to....
You wanna talk about crazy? How about the "zanbatou" from Rorouni Kenshin? You know, that big hunk of metal Sanosuke was whipping around at people when he first entered the series? "Oh, let me use this 8' sword to crush you! HAH! *katana'd*"
Then there's just about every main bladed weapon from Final Fantasy VII. I mean, Red XIII was using bladed hair clips, for crap's sake!
*Sorry, this was the best image I could find on short notice. Still, it proves my point.
Okay. Yeah. That's the most unrealistic sword I've ever seen.
I would like to say, though, that the japanese did use a blade about eight feet long that was used specifically against cavalry, but yes. This is too much. Thanks for the pic.
Cellach: That's not even a sword. It's more like a glaive than anything
Hunting Trouse with wheel lock Pistol
Hungarian Sabre with Pistol
Rapier with wheel lock pistol
Percussion cap pistol with blade. These were used by the US navy.
This sword is too elaborate and and the hilt is a horribly engineered piece of shit. A sword like that would get your head kicked in.
This sword is even worse, horrible to hold and you can tell just by looking at it, it's got horrible balance.
Yet another shitty sword.
You do realise in Arthas' world there are equipment that imbue the wearer with huge amounts of strength?
Also for extremely capable people, swinging about 10-15kg's is possible, just not as the speed Arthas is doing so >_<
Unrealistic eh?.. Even though I hate a mixture of a sci-fi weapon and a fantasy one, If anyone played Warhammer4k Dark Crusade, then he had probably noticed the polearms of the Necrons, mainly heavy spears or tridents (maybe with an axe-like edges) which have a green glowing plasma container at the bottom of it. From a distance, it can shoot laser beams and when you are up close you use the spear as a melee. Aspecially the weapon of the commander! Polearms are actually my favourite weapons =) I prefer them to be thick and heavy, and at the edge of the grip is a blade that can cut a horse in two ^^
It's the year 40,000....that's why it seems unrealistic to us. The technology is far superior to us, not to mention that Necron's are a different race to humans so have different capabilities.
yea, looks cool. its unrealistic now, but you see that people are actually thinking of such ideas. The future is wild xD I guess we wont live long enough to see such twisted gears in motion, if they will ever be real.
Nightmares sword from Soulcalibur 2
Its giant and has a living eye
What does the eye give?
nothing, it just has an eye. Its like the blade is split apart by it. One of his weapons is all eye and flesh though!
I think Soul Edge doesn't count in this comparison. Otherwise, it's obviously the most unrealistic sword because it combines the concepts of
1. An unwieldably large and heavy sword
2. A living sword (although it doesn't fit all biological classifications for life, since it doesn't reproduce)
3. an unbreakable sword
4. A sentient sword?
I actually don't know if it's sentient, but nevertheless.
Kedaj's sword from the FFVII movie is very rediculuous. If you look at shots of it in the movie, it's perfectly clear that neither blade has a tang (the replicas of it solve this problem by giving the sword an extra thick handle).
Cloud's Sword from Final Fantasy and Frostmourne from Warcraft have nothing on Soul Calibur and Soul Edge from The Soul Calibur game series.
Yeah I would agree, for a sword that is the most unrealistic I can think of.
Separate names with a comma.
