There are some pretty dumb looking swords out there. The most unrealistic is the sword frostmourne from WarCraft III. I'll post some better pictures later.

Such a thing cannot be possible... does Arthas bench press trees or something?

I know. I calculated mentally and I think a sword of that size and mass would weigh about twenty to thirty pounds.

By the way, at the end of the Frozen Throne there's a duel between Arthas with Frostmourne and an Elf with two curved swords. And Arthas of course is swinging that thing around quicker than you could a ranger sword.

That's the Fierce Diety Sword, I think.

There's also a pretty outrageous one in Brave Fencer Musashi for PS1. I'll get a pic if I can.

Crusader, please accept my humble apology for thinking that frostmourne is the most unrealistic sword ever.

Can somebody please tell me how Squall's gunblade can actually shoot? I believe it is impossible because it has no barrel. I thought that maybe it shot the bullet down the side of the blade, but then how would Seifer's work? His isn't a revolver. I think that both gunblades are rediculous, but still wicked awesome!! Final Fantasy VIII RULES!!!

Well, something can still shoot even if it doesn't have a barrel. But it would be very inaccurate.

yeah, I know, but I am saying that Squall's gunblade has a solid blade, no barrel running down the center like would logically work yet he still fires the round from the topmost chamber. Wouldn't the round just slam into the base of the blade? Perhaps Squall's shoots the round from the chamber to the right or left of the blade but I don't think it does because the hammer hits straight on. See, I don't think it could shoot at all. FFVIII STILL RULES THEM ALL!!

i was in this shop once that sold sword replicas and so on, and they had a gunblade. it was a mid length sword, with a single edge, and the handle was the handle of a gun (about 18thcentury, like a pirate pistol) that ran down one side.

    it was really wierd

Yeah, Crusader, I have seen that. I saw it at this restaurant near Chicago called Midieval Times and they joust and stuff while you eat, but anyways, they had that on display in their little museum.

Yes, it is! There is one in Florida and one in Colorado too. They may have a web site, but I am not sure. It was really cool, but I didn't really like the food, but that is probably because it was Midieval food and I wasn't very hungry. But they do real jousts and battle on foot. It was a good show.

They also have one here is Southern California in Westminster. It's fun, but it costs about $40 a person. The food's great though.

Anduril that sword form warcraft 3 doesn't look so unrealistic.....except you would need some one like arnie (terminator style) to wield it.....or an orc (as shown in the pic)
