I think it sucks what their doing to the books, I am currently reading the second book, have you heard how their writing it? they are taking a bunch of the best authors, and getting them to re-write them all, thats not how the chronicles were meant to be written,

Marrick, what you heard are just rumours and nothing more. The step son of the author controls the estate, and he is completely against anything like that. While it is true that the books are being rewritten for younger kids (say 3-5) so they can be introduced to the story at a younger age.

By the way, take a look at the new clip just released!

Personally, I don't think CS Lewis imagined his battles would be so LOTR like, i think it kind of took backstage on his priorities

I just got to see ten minutes of the film folks. Most of it was the opening scene, the beavers, and the battle scene. It looks amazing. The effects are really to the point where you can't tell what's real and what's not.

I am looking forward to seeing the movie. The battle scenes do look amazing, but lets face it, the movie is rated PG. They cant have to much killing in the battle, even the ork fights were PG-13 and there was'nt even much blood. I pesonally would prefer a PG-13 rating for any movies with battles.

The rating is being reviewed as a "hard" PG rating. Some reviewers caution parents about bringing young kids. The director has said there is not any blood in the battle, but there was one scene he had to cut which was a Phoenix flying down onto the battle field and alighting the enemy troops.

You see, that Phoenix scene sounds like something that would have been awesome. I mean there's no real difference with the veiwers of a PG-13 fatasy movie vs a PG. Just look at Harry Potter, it was packed with kids when I was there. Even though it is PG-13.

Pg-13 is just an advice, so perhaps that's why.

I got the book for my Birthday, but I still need to start reading it.

But those kids already love HP and are gonna go see it whether their parents let them or not. As Narnia, many kids haven't read the books. And the phoenix scene was amazing. You get to see part of it in the trailers. But with the minotaurs are all burning, it looked more like something from Braveheart.
