yea thats true, but i wonder how they are going to get all 7
it was rumored that they will do 5 movies, but it totally depends on how well they do
i think its between Narnia and King Kong since they both are coming in decemer and both will probably get a good compliment
I totally saw the trailer! I want to see it very much. :littlethi
But the only thing that upset me (only slightly) about the trailer was that the wardrobe was all...glowing and stuff. What's up with that?
Well, I doubt that it will be in the final film. It didn't look very finished for one thing. But they still don't have an actor for Aslan. The latest rumours talk of Russell Crowe and Liam Neeson being cast.
I'm impressed by the 2 minutes I've seen of that trailer. The kids look like decent actors. We all know that WETA Workshop will make amazing props and armour and weapons etc. And the story (in its original form at least) is extremely popular. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the CGI turns out, as well as the inevitable story compressions/changes. Remember, people doubted the LOTR movies but they turned out just fine. Fingers crossed for another quality fantasty movie series!
on a scale of 1 to 10 i think it would be a 8.5 most people like to watch things that aren't real aka to feel the magic
True. Films are an escapism for us. While we want a film to have a sense of realism so that we may relate to it, we also want to get away from our own lives for a bit.
Gaaaaaaaah! So excited. I like grew up on this series. It makes me want to cry with joy that they are going to make a new movie out of it. I remember how disappointed I was when my elementary school's library didn't have all seven of the books. I couldn't find them anywhere....well, apparently I found them somewhere, because when I bought the entire set, last year, I remembered all of the books. lol
I own the old movie series. It's isn't bad, just your typical BBC fare. I love Aslan and C.S. so much. If anything could get a person to convert to christianity, it would be these books.
It doesn't matter when they make TMN, because the only constant actor would be Aslan and maybe the White Witch/Jadis.
I can't wait to see the movie, but if they want a good turnout, they need to advertise it way more. If nobody knows it's out there, how can they go see it? I only knew of a movie due to a rumor I'd heard somewhere a long time ago. Then I saw this thread and pounced on it.
The director is the same guy who directed the Shrek movies. Shrek was his debut film. I think he'll do a great job with it. *squees in anticipation* And it comes out only 9 days before my birthday! It's like a present to me! :hbday:
If you love these books and would love to know more about the author, there is a play. It is a one act play, called Shadowlands and it is about C.S. Lewis and the woman he fell in love with and married, and his stepson, Jack. Such a good play. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
And yes, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien were good friends. Tolkien was the man who convinced Lewis to convert to christianity, which is why the Chronicles are so much like the bible, at points. Anyway, they were in a writing club, together, with two other members. It was called The Inklings.
I love C.S. Lewis so much. *dies from happiness*

Uh oh....looks like you better run Fantasy Roamer. It's gettin' dang'rous 'round heah.
In an interview at chud.com, producer Perry Moore confirms that Liam Neeson was cast as the voice of Aslan and what the status of the sequels will be based on. Read the enire interview (part 1) here.
I dont mean that the books were bad. Its just that the movie looks way better. You know.
Im hoping this film will be good, it was always a favourite story of mine when I was little, but I have my doubts about this film
I might watch it, but i doubt it will beat the book,s they were great. The old films were good, just they didnt have all the special effects when it was made. It looks quite good, I might wait for the DVD though...
I'll at least see the first one in theatres to form an opinion on them. And it's like voting on whether or not they should continue making them. So please....rock the vote people. *headbang*
They have some reviews avalable at NarniaWeb.com.
