Then welcome to the Grey Alliance, Aenlauc.
*bounds off to see what can be found in the guild - and what can be resurrected*
Welcome, and hope you enjoy it here!
I, too, would like to be a part of the Grey Alliance.
I hear that we need not be wolves to be a part?
What are the requirements?
[sorry if these questions are dedundant to the others that have been posted here.]
The Alliance was formed originally for those creatures that find themselves not "fitting" into good/bad or light/dark categories, and is open to all that feel this signifies their race.
I think that sums it up! (wolf will know exactly!)
The only requirements are that you let yourself be known to wolf who will confer with Mauthair to deem your worthiness to the alliance. Once you have shown this, Mauthair will give you name in wolvish to signify your acceptance. In other words talk to wolf.
My counterpart here speaks truth, JuJack. Indeed he is correct, you do not need to be a wolf to join, although it is advised that one is, simply for the sake of convenience and respect for our lands. Nevertheless, if you are not of wolfish blood, we will accept you all the same, as long as you stand by the same morals that we do.
And thus, I ask the question, do you wish to become one of us? if so, I will summon Mauthair in an instant. You may like to tell us a bit about yourself also, to help with a name and a role for you in the pack.
Well, I do have a wolf family, but more than wolf I am the fox.
Of course I stand by the same morals as the Grey Alliance.
I feel that this is a good place for me to be.
I do wish to become a part of this 'family', if I will be had.
*Mauthair approaches* "Throughout the history of the wolves, we have always lived by the fox in the woodland we strive to protect, as they do also by their own ends, safe from the annoyance of mankind and their tricks. But seldom do they wish to join us, and I am glad that you have chosen to honor the ways of the fox and wolf by doing so. I give you a name now that will reflect this unity; 'Maegolv' which means 'Blood Sister'. It empowers not only the color of your fur, but the strength of your soul in becoming part of the Alliance."
I shall bear this name with honor.
Welcome to the pack JuJak!
*howls a greeting*
Welcome to the great pack everyone! Hope you all enjoy your time here and add something to the alliance.
Feel free to roll into the Gate of Norvegr at some stage!
*pads into cave and sits*
I have come to humbly seek the presence of the one they call Wolf, friend of the great Mauthair, in the hope that I might be given the honour of finding sanctuary with your pack.
I hope I am in the right place.
*Wolf emerges from the shadows*
Welcome friend, is it I you seek? This pack sees many a newcomer in these times- fortune for the pack I am certain, and the Alliance. My master is but a distance away for such matters as names and roles within the group, but he bids me ask you beforehand, which professions and skills do you hold true to yourself, that would serve us with material to name you? As you may have seen, we form true understanding of a creature in our company when it tells us of itself- and hopefully you will also notice the names are given as results of that. It may also be useful if you wished to look in past pages at the professions chosen by members of this Alliance, although these days a profession and a skill are tied up in the same name we establish for you.
Sanctuary will you find here, and welcome from all.
My life has not been easy, but I do not complain.
I have always been alone. As a youngster I learned very quickly that in order to survive, one must live by her wits as well as her natural wolfly cunning. I have come across many races, and I have seen the good and the bad in all of them. I realised that in order to stay alive a wolf must use her tongue, not just her teeth and claws, and so this I humbly offer to the pack - the skill of diplomacy.
I fear I have been alone for too long - it is time for me to be with my own kind.
I hope you have the need of an old wolf like me.
Mauthair: "Welcome, wolf. You say you have the skill of diplomacy- that gives me great joy; for one of our kind that will weigh up events instead of running into them head on is a wise warrior, and someday might even lead us when I have gone to the stars. All of this I have taken into account when giving you your name: Glaeridian, which would mean 'Experience Learned'. I think this would bode well for your character, and also promote your own self awareness. Welcome to the Grey Alliance."
I give many thanks to you, wise Mauthair.
I pledge to occupy my place in the pack with integrity, and to bear the name of Glaeridian with honour.
An elven ranger steps into view from behind a tree and smiles mysteriously. He pets the little white rabbit on his shoulder and tips his hat.
"I sensed the time had come for me to request to join The Grey Alliance and await your decision."
