I think Dany's key to taming the Iron Islands will be Asha.
Wow, great spec. Even if it's kinda' long.
Thanks guys, I tried to be thorough. I think i wore myself out in it though. When it came time to think about the iron isles I just didn't care anymore I think it will all develop as more of a subplot actually. One of the Greyjoys will do something though...kill someone important maybe? Hmmm, who knows? I am interested in seeing what is happening with the Boltons...
The biggest thing I think we are missing is that there are 2500-3000 pages to fill...that is a lot of room to fill and it doesn't seem like enough plot. :-S
Lol, it seems like enough plot for me . Plus, GRRM will probably hit us with some things even App in her most creative mood couldn't guess .
Haha, I'm sure there will be plenty of curveballs thrown in The greatest part of the series is how little is certain!
Okay people... i just got 3 very strange thoughts..
1.Arya... in her last chapter it turns out Arya is blind...
At first this was a shock to me , but later, logicaly, i assumed that is just a part of her Faceless training... and a very good training indeed.
2.Victarion... he is sailing to Meereen, isn't he.
What troubles me is that Daenerys will have big problems transporting all her troops to the other part of the worlg, Westeros...
And that's where Victarion jumps in, the Iron have more than enough ships to transport her army to Westeros, although, as Euron said, a fleet of that magnitude would have problems sticking together...
3.Mister Qyburn... After all that speech of humans needed for his ''experiments'' (which is really really mean) he told Cersei that her undefeatible hero is ready, but she turned him down because of the laws... etc. etc.
Anyway, in AFFC there is also mention that Qyburn ordered from Cersei (her main blacksmith) - to make a huge steel armor, and the blacksmith said that was insane (he also said that no mam could ever bear it's weight)...
And i realised this : Human parts + really huge armor + magic = GOLEM!!
Now, golems (clay, iron, flesh, stone etc.) aren't really uncommon in other fantasy works, but I have to admit i would never have expected a GOLEM in ASoIaF...
Now i really can't wait to see if my golem theory is correct
1. Yes, this has been speculated for awhile.
2. Euron IS sending Victarion to find his bride, presumably Dany. Good spec.
3. Why do you think everyone's been referring to Gregor Clegane as Gregolem?
Oooooh, and i thought i made it up
hehe, Well your theory sounds pretty original. I just wonder if Gregor is going to be like Stoneheart - undead, or an actual golem. Hard to say.
Great! I actually laughed out loud
hehe, Glad you like it.
It's also gladdening to see that you're an ASoIaF-infrected fanatic. I'm sorry, it sounds so much like "Engrish" that I had to mention it.
LMAO! Thank you LD! I laughed so hard upon realizing just what you were talking about...that I think I'll keep it for a few days.
Glad I could help.
In the future of ASoIaF:
Lord Frey will be fed to a dragon.
I second that.
Don't... tempt... fate....
Any WoT fan will tell you, most of us are quietly praying that GRRM won't go the same way...
And being a dragon's lunch is too quick and easy for the old Frey. I quite fancy the locked-up-slowly-dismembered-and-then-fed-to-yourself route.
Yeh no kidding it seems like every year he's adding another book to the series, I mean what is he up to now seven books? Wasnt it originally gonna be 4? I dont really have a problem with that if he needs that to tell his story, BUT he has to be sure he isn't sacraficing quality for quantity.
Agreed, he also has to make sure not to die before he finishes his books... :
After all, it's ASoIaF that will outlive him for centuries...
If anything unexpected did happen to GRRM(touches wood) then I think id go crazy, I hate to leave things unfinished, especially when its somthing as good as ASOIF
