I have to say we made a very good impression on the audience on costume. Even me and Padmé kissed and the audience loved it.

Sounds like you guys had quite a blast. I dressed up in a silly Darth Vader outfit on opening day at school, but didn't see the show until the following evening. It was purely a joke, and was assembled in under an hour. The only thing serious about it was my Don Post Darth Vader helmet... Other than that, it was made with towels, black clothes, and more black clothes!

Anyway, Nice Boba Fett outfit, Anakin. The 501st looks pretty cool, but I won't be joining any local garrison's here, since I do so many different types of reenactment it would be quite a mess to join official groups! As I'm sure some of you have figured out, I'm one for historic reenactment, and not fantasy dress-up. But, the new film sparked my friends and I a little too much, and I'm slowly turning back into a Star Wars nut.

So, with the help of folks on the Replica Prop Forum and some extra cash I hope to get this summer (and some ingenuity!) I'm hopin' to get a full Elite Clone outfit together before school starts, and more particularly before Halloween. I'm gonna' try to make it film-accurate. For those who don't know, the dubbed 'Elite' Clones were the ones that were posted around the imperial city, and more importantly the government buildings and areas surrounding the Chancellor. These guys had the helmets with the small, vertical, red stripes across the forehead. Here's a CG image of one of them.

Master Replicas is releasing one of their helmets, but it may end up being more than I can afford (about $400-500, I believe) so I might have to do with a custom piece of lower quality... Hopefully that won't be the case! I'm gonna' find someone who does vacuum-formed Stormtrooper armor and see if they can't supply the changes necessary for the Episode III clones. I'd like to paint all of the armor myself, so that'll be quite a treat. I'm also debating doing an ARC trooper (Advanced Reconiassance Commando, I believe) but that'd require a different paint scheme, while I like this one. :D

    Cheers!

I know that we are working on a clone trooper armor, more kinda like an arc trooper, which are cooler.
In total that would about a 1000 dollars for the whole thing I think...But I don't know for sure yet, since I have to wait until they are finnished.

Yeah, I really like the ARC's, but I think that my love for the Elite's helmet is just too much to not want to dress as one! I'm glad that I have a good build for such a character, too. 6' tall, 155 pounds. With the proper undersuit and padding in the shoulders, possibly, it should look very realistic... That is, if I get it all together!

$1,000 doesn't seem to bad, would that include helmet and the likes? I'm just gonna' buy the armor from one person, undersuit from another, the helmet from MR, hopefully, and either make the rifle (which I really want to do).

(Questions transferred from another thread to fit appropriate theme. Sorry about double-post!)

Might I ask which helmet you use for your Boba Fett kit, if it's a lisenced piece? If not, who made it? A local, or a known prop-maker? I saw the detail on your other picture, and it looks really sharp. Very nice piece! Boba is easily one of the most treasured characters in the Star Wars Universe, and reproducing his kit seems very popular, but done as well as yours only once in a while, it seems!

I'd do a Boba Fett outfit, myself... But I like the idea of being a soldier, and not an individual character from the story. I'd always be worried that there would be better Fetts out there, and that if someone took a picture with "the" Boba Fett at a convention or whatnot, it wouldn't be me! :(

But I won't have to have that kind of worry as a Clone!

    Cheers!

The helmet and some armor pieces are made by Richie's armour. It's not a liscenced piece. It's not local, you can find it easiliy on a website. What I said about the price of a clonetrooper is just based on how much you pay for a stormtrooper...I don't know if it's going to be the same. A stormtrooper in total is about a 1000 dollars maybe even less...and then you have everything with it...the helmet the shoes, the armour, the rifle etc...) But now I'm speaking of a stormtrooper...we'll have to wait what price a clonetrooper shall be...I can show you pics of stormtrooper if you want.

Oh, I know Richie's Armor! They're gooood! I really want armor from them! I actually sent Richie an email the other evening asking about a quote on Clone armor, so hopefully he'll get back to me soon! Is your helmet one of the ones that they have a picture of on their site?

Well, talk to you tomorrow! This is my last post for the evening, because I have to get to work in the morning!

    G'night, Anakin!

members from the 501st in LA were at the theater I went to in Hollywood. They "escorted" the unlucky fans from liningup.net that decided to line up at the Mann's Chinese, even though the movie wasn't paying there, over to the Arclight where it was booked for a midnight show.

The 501st Legion was probably invited by all theatres all over the world as were we of the Belgian 501st Garrison.
