That was your idea, not mine!
or maybe on the dangers of marrying Cylons!
I haven't kept my promise of making a vlog, buuut now there's this little recording of me at the release of gtaV at the local game store . The blonde girl in the background looking for something in the first 30 seconds is me . I was grabbing my bucket of water to get some more guys with stick-on tattoos .
Aw... you're ADORABLE! You need to grace us with more of that wonderful smile, Bel!
i wish i could eph! but when i have the chance, i'll be here
Found ya! Also, that video made me realise that although I keep claiming I speak Dutch I barely understood anything
Bel! It's so good to see you! Literally.
You just came out of nowhere. I think the camera likes you.
Bel caught on tape in the wild! That was fun to see. What were you looking for?
haha fir! i don't speak german very well but i generally understand a lot of it but i always hear germans understand less of dutch than dutch people of german . it's a shame they didn't interview a native "Leidenaar". The town i live in has its very own accent, which is extremely funny, although i think the only one who could hear it would be tur haha.
@SJ: I was looking for my bucket of water. I was volunteering with my old roommate (the other girl who is actually filmed giving a guy a stick-on tattoo ) in the local gamestore where her boyfriend works. the only thing we had to do was socializing with all those guys (who apparently come out of their lair only twice a year , half of them acted as if they'd never seen a girl before lol) and giving them these 90's-style stick-on tattoos, those annoying, itching, ugly stickers . it was fun and we both got a giftcard for it hehe. at the end of the evening you saw guys with those stickers in their necks, hands, forehead .
I don't think I'd ever seen a pic of you before or if I had it was an older one... somebody is growing up nicely.
You can put a fake tattoo on me any old time.
due to my blonde hair and big doll like eyes i look very young , most people think i'm 18 or 19 and don't believe i'm 23..so i'm not very different from the pic i posted on tff. but i don't think you have seen it..i posted it like last year when i registered. perhaps perhaps in the future i'll post another one .
I definitely remember a picture of you Bel, but this is the best I've seen yet
They all looked stereotypically dutch and slightly violent
@Firiath: you would be able to understand a flemish person, as they speak dutch “with a german accent”, but real dutch is just too hard.
i love dutch i think it's a beautiful language.
haha druid now you got me curious...what is stereotypically dutch?? most of the guys standing there were drunk and impatient to get the game (they were literally drinking beer inside the gameshop and they tolerated it ), which i found a bit stupid, because then they weren't able to play all night, which they desperately wanted to ...
hahaha... temporary tattoos! I think they're quite fun, especially the cheesy ones!
I think it's the blonde hair that makes you look younger than you are. Maybe it's different in Europe, but over here, there aren't too many adults that are naturally as blonde as you are. A lot of kids have light-coloured hair that darkens as they get older so the really light-blonde hair colour is usually associated with younger people.
I got carded (asked for proof of my age) any time I went to buy a bottle of wine at the store until I was in my early thirties...lol.
The dutch are famous for their blonde hair SJ: it's short dark-headed people who stand out there
By stereotypically dutch, it's hard to explain; almost arrogant looking, but in a different way. (tall and blond doesn't count, that's a given heh) Imagine that little fat kid who does some sort of rap in the Netherlands (saw a video of him last year or so).
Oh, and NEVER go on a campsite with dutch people on. They are the LOUDEST people EVER on campsites.
I do have to say though, that from the dutch people that I have met, I can only say that I love them: all so nice and friendly
A swiss-german friend of mine said that dutch sounded a lot like Swiss-German, when I gave her a demo of my (pretty bad) dutch accent. My Swiss-German accent is much better.
So here´s a little something from my trip to Brazil (my voice sounds surprisingly masculine ;O )
Wow, that's like Niagara Falls times ten!
Damn you... I used to travel all the time but now I neither have the time or money. It really sucks when I see somebody else having so much fun in a far off place.
Your voice isn't masculine so much as it sound like you're older than 25.
But it's alright, my voice is on the feminine side. Great for singing Bohemian Rhapsody, not so much for hitting on women.
You should see the falls yourself, Sparrow! They are absolutely breathtaking. The video doesn't really do them justice
And the thing is that my voice doesn't sound like that at all - it's certainly not so deep. My phone somehow distorted it
I don't think we ever look or sound the way we think we do.
I remember the first time listening to a recording of my voice and my sisters laughing at how unboyish I sounded like. Thank goodness I've been smoking cigarettes for the last ten plus years... my voice has finally changed and I sound like an adult.
Glad you're enjoying your adventure!
Those falls are amazing Oddy! Great video... thanks for posting it.
