yeah, i still prefer the USD, but that's just me
Did you see the ****ing pound? it looks like monopoly money. either that or a legitimate piece of money a hippie tie-dyed. I see no reason for money to be that colorful. And what did darwin ever do to help britain?
I think he fathered some sea turtles in the Galapagos's that went on to sink U boats in WW2.
That sounds like something a Brit would do.
They should have ****ing Oliver Cromwell on their bills
Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin changed how people viewed the Universe.
That's what Darwin did for Britain.
However he should not have his picture on a 10 pound note because of the racist outlook he developed in later life.
It's not the conclusion of a beatification process, having your face on bank notes.
Isaac Newton shouldn't have his face on the money for dabbing into alchemy. Regardless, neither could be ignored if national science heroes are chosen...
A religious fanatic who climbed the ranks to become a dictator would be an excellent choice.
Ahahahahahahahaha! That made me smile.First smile of the morning.I prefer the 1980s pounds, they were far more descent and good looking plus they featured people like the Duke of Wellington!!!!!!!!
By the way,can you imagine immigrants demanding the change of how money looks like or what money has on?
And can you imagine what would happen if Christian minorities in muslim countries like Pakistan for example demanded the change of the flag because it has a crescent?Ooooh boy.....
Notes are colorful, complex in design, include holograms, metal threads and changed periodically to make it more difficult to counterfeit
The one pound note was discontinued in the '80s, Isaac Newton ceased to be on notes at the point!
Most of those who have appeared on British notes have contributed something of worth... I dread to think who might be on them in the future... probably Beckham because the sun shines out of his backside (apparently).
The USD manages to be hard to counterfeit without being overly colorful i don't think that's an excuse you can use.
And I'd say Newton is a better figure to have on the money than Darwin, wouldn't you?
Beckham on one side and a smiling Blair on the other.Freak show.Yeah baby yeah.
@Kakashi: I thought the US dollar was the most counterfeited? That wouldn't be particularly surprising as it so widely used. I don't really like the appearance of USDollar, I'm used to colourful UK & Euro notes
Charles Darwin is an important historical figure as was Newton. Accusations of racism are usually measured against contemporary not Victorian standards and conveniently skip over his abolitionist views. He did the world a huge favour by publishing his evolutionary theory as a counterpoint to creationism.
@Foinikas ~ *shudders* ~ no it'll be jug-ears (Prince Charles) on one side, and Beckham on the backside
I prefer the young princes on the banknote now rather than Elizabeth, come on she's even too old to be on the money now....
Separate names with a comma.
