hahahaha I agree with the tango'd thing, and I often use that exact phrase :D No for me, I look at my mum:

    Me and her (1984): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/Padme1984/mummmyandme-2.jpg

    Me and her (2005): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/Padme1984/Mummyandme-1.jpg

I think she looks pretty darn good for 56 :D I so hope I look as good as her when I'm her age! lol

Tans look great aslong as you don't act like a prat and sit in the sun for 6 hours straight with no sunblock or something.

You can still look young when you're older if you have a normal non-anemic skin colour. In fact you probably look older if you're paler. The whole "Oh...she's going to pop off soon, look at her condition" lol.

Nah, every older person I know who was a lot in the sun looks bloody awful. It's different if you stayed out of the sun but still use say dark foundation (if you're a woman that is), cause your skin is still smooth. But I can spot a sunbather or someone who has been too much in the sun a mile off.

Bah women and their funny skin problems. I don't get any of that crap considering I'm brown :p

Actually no...if I stay out too long I go some dirty black, but it's all good since I'm not that dark in the first place lol

Again, nothing wrong with sunbathing. Looks better than anemic lol

Yeah my brother is about 3 years older than me. He likes to have a tan for sure, lying in the sun or using a sunbed. Now he looks certainly 10 years older than me lol

Well, I'm half Asian and I adopted the opinion of my Asian mother that white skin is more beautiful than a tan.
Also, too much sun causes irreparable skin damages. I don't wanna look like 40 when I'm only 20. >_>
Btw, tan lines do NOT look good at all, lol.

true. I do not care anymore for me to have a tan whether it makes me look better or not. I look good enough anyway lol:D And yeah I'm glad my skin doesn't suffer the damage my brother already had to suffer lol. Stupid him cares more about the colour of his skin rather than the health of it

I'm not saying queer looking tans are good, they're just comparatively better looking than anemic type skin lol. A "natural" tan looks good.

Too much sun where you don't have a ozone layer, then sure ofc it screws up your skin. Yet not being exposed to sun is bad for you aswell. You can suffer from a lack of Vitamin D, that sorta thing can lead to multiple sclerosis. Plus if you have little exposure your body might not be able to do proper skin pigmentation to stop the formation of free radicals when you do go into the sun which can screw you up.

My sister looked really really white, but through make up, and with her very dark hair she did look like a goth, that I don't like. But with me I have naturally pale skin and dark hair, but still look healthy, so for me that's what I'd stick to lol Looks fresher and cleaner, I used to be told when I was little that only builders should have tans lol Never forgot that lol

There's normal whiteman pale and then there's PALE.

I suppose it depends on your ethnicity. Different things looks better on different people. But nice summer colours and warm and welcoming. Pale cold colours are just antisocial lol

Isn't the sun the main factor for creating wrinkles?

Isn't the ageing of your body and slowing down cell regneration the main factor of getting wrinkles?

    YEP! :D

And concerning ethnicity, well I'm Scottish but I'm told I look Irish :s You can see moi in me profile, though old pic. I've had a fake tan before and I just didn't suit it, I think with my green eyes and dark hair I look better paler. You'll never ever catch me sunbathing, unless I die on a beach wearing a bikini, which is VERY unlikely :D

Actually no, that makes your skin sag, but not using moisturizer and/ or being in the sun too much makes deep wrinkles.

    Let me rephrase that.
Isn't the sun the main exogenous contributor for the creating of wrinkles?

A school mate goes to a sun studio every two weeks and became addicted to it. LOL @ her.
Whatever, the silly thing is that there are several skin cancer cases (?) in her family. Stupid cow.
At least 80% of my generation get a sunbed tan every now and then which I didn't know before. Maybe that's the reason why so many people think I'm younger than I really am.
(Went to a B-Day party on saturday and one guest thought I'm 12. I really wanted to slap that person. 12, wtf is wrong with her >_<).

My skin tone is yellow-ish. Even if I avoided the sun for the next 10 years I wouldn't reach goth-paleness since most goths are Caucasians and have a cold pink skin tone.

Btw, lol @ lack of Vitamin D.
    Drink milk!
