    Hey guys,
We all know that Count Dooku's lightsaber has a beautiful curve in it, but that makes it a bit difficult to insert a lightsaber blade prop into the hilt. I was watching a Star Wars documentary and I caught glimpse of a bunch of modified hilts which were straight near the blade, like this:

Does anyone know whether the curved version or the straighter version was used as the stunt saber for Christopher Lee and his stunt double?

I'm sure he still used a curved version

And can anyone tell me if this is a pretty accurate approximation of the hilt:

I have the replica right here, and I think it's a bit longer

I think he was asking whether the curves match in the correct places, lengths and angles.

well the detail is pretty good, although the activation button is suppose to be gold coloured, don't think its the activation button but there is a button in gold under the lightsaber near where the blade comes out of hilt...It's coloured black on yours

I actually did assign it a gold material, but there is a shadow being cast on it in this rendering that does make it look very dark.

Yeah, there are definitely striking differences between the original prop and my reproduction of it. Eventually, I'll get around to making the changes, but I've worked on this for four weeks and I want to move on to something else for a while.

By the way, Anakin, or anyone else who has the Star Wars new guide to weapons and technology. Are the weapons and armor drawings in the back of the book pretty accurate?
