Does anyone know the name of the elf that stood behind Elrond at the end of RotK? Right after Aragorn kissed Arwen, we see a shot of a smiling Elrond, and behind him is a tall, blond-haired elf, also smiling. I never read RotK, but I was speculating that it might possibly have been Thranduil, Legolas father.
    Anyone know??

Elf-Lover was referring to Aragorn's Coronation, not the departure from Mithlond.

I'm guessing that's just an elf from Rivendell, most likely no one special.

Correct, Gûd Daedheloth. I should have been more specific. I was talking about Aragorn's Coronation.

I also think it was just some random elf. btw I found some of the elves present at ara's coronation to be shockingly ugly for an elf.

Most of the elves were. They just found random people and stuck wigs on them. I was disappointed with most of the elves in the movie.

Yeah, I can agree with that. They should have been just a little bit more beautiful. And also if you noticed, some of the elves needed to shave a little better too.

I disagree. I believe a lot of time & effort went into finding people with the right build & stature that fit the order. Think about it? Elves are elegant, ethereal & above all, a most-defined race. So it makes sense to find people with most-defined features.. ;) However, as a result, the elves portrayed in the movies appear rather shocking and out of place.

It was Celeborn at the havens? I guess I forgot what he looked like, because I thought it was Cirdan.
