Powerade, Gatorade etc vs Water. Which do you think is better?
Water. Its simple and its good.
water, it's more hydrating and doesn't taste like ass when I chug 1/3 of a litre of it
I never got to feel why Gatorade or Powerade were "superior" to water when I was sweating etc.You know they advertise oh it hydrates better oh you regain your..um...whatever you lose better...oh athletes around the world drink it all the time during matches etc.Oh it's like a magic potion. You gain mana faster.
The only difference with water and Sports drinks that I felt was that I wanted to drink more Powerade than water and then wanted more and more.
However...Isostar DID perform very well during a European Practical Shooting Competition where my mom was using it and I drank a bit too.It helped her and others' condition much better than water when they had to go through all these stages under the hot summer sun.
But I don't hear a lot about Isostar nowadays it's all about Gatorade and Powerade. It would be funny if they could make one that would taste like milk.Mmmm....sweet.
Water is pure and much better
Yeah, water for me.
Water for president.
Without it, there would be no Gatorade.
Water is life lol so yes I voted water
I just went from drinking 3L of powerade a day to 3L of water, and honestly noticed no change.
Except the heavier wallet.
So water it is.
That's an awesome point.
Always thinking too much.
water.no question about it
If you've cycled for more then 100 miles - and you suddenly feel completely exhausted (which basically means your blood sugar level is below anything acceptable) - then you will DIE for a sports drink. And, at that moment, you will feel a good part of your powers flow back into your body, within 5 minutes.
If your're not pushing yourself to the limit, then water will do just nicely.
I hate water...
Lol then wtf are you? Fire elemental?
I found the Sprite commercial slogan ridiculous when it was saying "Sprite.Listen to your thirst."
If you are thirsty and drink a fizzy drink like Coca-cola,Sprite,Fanta etc.that won't help. You will be even more thirsty and then you will have to drink 1 glass of water just to get the taste of the fizzy-drink out of your mouth, then 1-2 glasses of water if you are really thirsty. Then you'll feel like throwing up.
Definitely water. I'm not an athlete though, so I can't comment on that side of the spectrum - but sports drinks, vitamin waters ... all that stuff has one thing I don't want in excess .... calories!
Yesterday I drank about four liters of water during the course of the day/night, and I'm hoping to make it a daily habit. 2-4 liters per day.
Of course, I may as well have moved my office to the bathroom, but that's another story.
I hate the taste of athletic drinks, so Water's the way to go for me. Although after a workout my drink of choice is chocolate milk which recent studies have shown refuels you almost as well as most athletic drinks.
