I know it's not really in keeping with the theme of these forums, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Here's the link: seanckent.blogspot.com It's the patchy and not-too-great start to a story that... who knows? Might be published in ten years. There are a few major changes I want to make, and I'm only somewhat happy with the overall structure, but you know... It is what it is, and I do think it has its virtues. I'll mention that I am a very scene-oriented writer. I imagine each scene as a sort of moment in time, like a painting with motion if you will. I think of them as landscapes conveying emotions. The novella is just a bunch of scenes strung together with what we call plot. And finally, I apologize if the story doesn't make a boat load of sense to you. I could post my outline for the plot, but I'm too lazy to do it now. Maybe you can enjoy filling in the pieces (if anyone even has time to read it).
